Tregwynt Manor was once one of the largest
country estates in Wales; consequently there are numerous
lovely stone cottages and mills in individual idyllic settings
dotted through the wooded valleys that emerge onto the coast
at Abermawr and Aberbach beaches.
The area has a circumference
of 3 miles, is lightly populated but includes a world-renowned
family woollen mill, an organic farm and the birthplace of
Llangloffan cheeses. The deciduous woods are National Trust
land and have many lovely walks which combine well with the
Coastal Path to provide relatively short circular routes with
lots of interest. Otters, badgers, foxes and buzzards form
a community larger than the human residency. Even in Pembrokeshire
terms, this is a special place. |
