To call Newport a town would seem at variance
with the Trades Descriptions Act, except that it holds a Royal
Charter and is an Ancient Borough.
The cottages, tiny shops,
craftsmens galleries, church and castle are squeezed
between the south-side of the River Nevern and the impressive
summit of Carn Ingli.
There is always something going on here.
The community is strong and local events centred on the sea,
the history and the seasons give many reasons for celebrations
throughout the year. Locally grown and caught produce supply
Cnapan Restaurant and the many Inns are welcoming and serve
meals. |
