Soft sandy beaches invite you to play, fjord-like harbours
offer departures to exciting bird-filled offshore islands, 22
miles of navigable waters give opportunities to 'mess about
on the river' and two award-winning Country Parks entice you
towards the interior. Where to stay is a difficult
choice, there are so many wonderful settings. Solva and
Little Haven are popular well-serviced villages with sandy-bottomed
harbours and strong local communities. I would hate to have
to choose between the sandy beaches at Newgale, Nolton, Druidston,
Broad Haven and Marloes - why not try a different one each day?
The two Cleddau rivers are incredibly beautiful
and an almost untapped resource for water-based activities.
If you really want a different holiday this year there is a
totally unspoilt and unexploited area just waiting for you,
so check our 'Down by the Riverside'
section. 180 miles of Coastal Path compliment
the peace and tranquillity of the riverbank, and Preseli's southern
foothills conceal the impressive waters at Llysyfran Country
Park. |

| Skomer Island is a
special experience, taking you away from the modern world
for a whole day. Dyfed Wildlife Trust give different themed
guided walks introducing you to comical puffins and nursing
seals at close quarters. Scolton Manor Country Park runs events
based on nature trails with fun study groups. |
