Saturday 21st June sees the start of Pembrokeshire Fish Week – a jam-packed festival that celebrates our county’s coastline and local fish and seafood. There will be plenty going on, from delicious delicacies in local pubs and restaurants to boat trips, activities and cookery demonstrations. There are also lots of exhibitions in local galleries and live music around the county, perfect for those of you who are not too keen on fishy treats. Huge congratulations to Matthew and Sophie, who welcomed baby Arabella into the world yesterday! We’re all thrilled to hear the news here in the office. Fran is delighted to have won the baby sweep and Sarah is currently busying herself blowing up pink balloons. Congratulations to you all – we’re looking forward to a visit!

Father’s day is drawing ever nearer and our colleagues in Activity Wales have been giving us plenty of inspirational ideas for presents with a difference. A rally driving weekend would make an exciting change from the usual father’s day gifts of novelty socks and chocolates, and sky diving would definately be a present to remember! Yesterday I took to the skies over Pembrokeshire and enjoyed a 30 minute pleasure flight over my favourite parts of the county. Despite unpredictable downpours, the skies cleared just in time as the sun came in over the sea. The tiny plane flew from the aerodrome at Withybush over Scolton Manor, where we had a prime view of the classic car show.
