The countdown continues! Four weeks to go. Here in the office we’re bounding around like excited Christmas elves (well, some more than others) – busy making plans for the festive season. There is a lot going on over the next few weeks, from Christmas fayres all over the county to Pantos and a festival of Christmas trees in St. Davids. There are carol concerts and services, and a general air of Christmas spirit. I’m looking forward to the Christmas fayre at the Druidston Hotel on 7th December and to trying new recipes for mulled wine and mulled cider (including a […]

This week I would like to draw your attention to another of our dog friendly properties located Llanllawddog, near Carmarthen which I think is just perfect for those many pooches that have a lot of energy to burn! So, if at home you have a bouncing boxer or a crazy collie, then please read on and see if Nantglas is just the property you have been looking for… Nantglas, is set within the owners’ 35 acres of farm and parkland, situated in the bottom of a valley on the edge of the extensive Brechfa forest, with its myriad of footpaths […]

During the Summer, Puzzle Butler packed his doggie bag for his fortnight stay in Iris Cottage, St Dogmaels with Coastal Cottages of Pembrokeshire. In receiving a letter from Puzzle himself, I am delighted to share his story and photo snaps with you all, of his experiences during his stay with us in Pembrokeshire. Puzzle Wrote: Dear Coastal Cottages, Hello everyone, Puzzle (dog ambassadress) here! I’ve just returned home from another fantastic holiday in St Dogmaels. I’ve been on lots of lovely walks. My favourite place is Poppit Sands, but I could also go on the beaches at Cwm-yr-Eglwys and Pwllgwaelod. […]

The festive season is drawing ever nearer and it is just less than 6 weeks until Christmas Day itself! (40 days in fact). Cue carol singing, mince pies, mulled wine, all things delicious, decadent and indulgent, Christmas trees, decking the halls with boughs of holly and …….. last minute panic buying for Christmas presents? Well this year we can suggest an alternative to the novelty socks and chocolates bought in a hurry on Christmas Eve – Coastal Cottages of Pembrokeshire holiday gift vouchers. The vouchers can be redeemed against any Coastal Cottages product and come in denominations starting from £25 […]

I would like to take this opportunity to pay extra special attention to two properties located in Ceibwr Bay that have many doggie delights to offer you during your stay with us in Pembrokeshire. Sharing the same location, Ger y Llyn (sleeping 3) and Fron Haul (sleeping 4) are surrounded by 5.5 acres of open paddock and pasture land, enabling your pooch to explore and play ball with the freedom of being off the lead. Being a dog owner myself, I can appreciate how tiresome keeping your dog constantly on a lead can become, and so to hear that at […]

This weekend sees the annual Discover Dogs show at Earls Court in London. Now in its thirteenth year, the event is a brilliant barking bonanza organised by The Kennel Club in association with Royal Canin. The two-day show boasts 200 breeds of dogs, agility and training sessions, trade stands, plenty of other attractions and information on canine care. This year Mel, Rona and Linda will be representing Coastal Cottages of Pembrokeshire, armed with information on dog friendly holidays in Pembrokeshire. They will be able to answer any questions thrown at them on where to stay, which pubs, beaches and attractions […]
