New Years in Pembrokeshire

Ah New Years. Known to be the biggest party night of the year, it’s always such a difficult decision how to spend it. All you party animals out there, you have to make the tough decision where in the county to dance in the new year.  For those who prefer the quieter life, do you stay in with the family watching Jools Holland, playing board games and munching on a Chinese takeaway? Or, do you go to the aunt’s/neighbour’s/friend’s house where the wine will be flowing and you’ll definitely be feeling worse for wear the next morning, but it’s all […]

Favourite Christmas Films!

Can you believe there are only 3 more sleeps until Christmas, and I have yet to sit down and watch my first Christmas film of the season? And let’s be honest, there’s absolutely no good reason for that as Christmas films have been on TV since the beginning of December! I have however, gathered all my Christmas DVD’s from their various homes throughout the house and put them in a pile ready to be watched. I have also gone through the TV listings and pressed record on all the films I don’t have on DVD! These are the ones (I’m sure […]

Food, Glorious Food!

I’ve always, always loved Christmas. Not enough to be one of those children who would be up at the crack of dawn to see if Santa had been mind; my parents were lucky with my brother and I in that sense. Whereas some parents have to endure the ridiculous 6am wakeup call from their over-excited children, my brother and I have always been quite happy to roll out of bed at half 9 (if not even later!) often having been woken by up by our parents. Once awake, we all congregate at the top of the stairs one by one […]

Woof Prize Christmas Give Away!

So for the next few weeks, we’ll all be manically rushing around to ensure that by the time the big day comes, we’ve got everything we could possibly need allowing us to sit back and enjoy the festivities of Christmas Day. I expect many people across the county will be defrosting their freezers and clearing out their cupboards to ensure they’ve got enough room to fit in the mountains of food they are inevitably going to buy. Turkeys have been ordered, Christmas cakes and mince pies are starting to fill the shelves, thoughts of pigs in blankets, home made stuffing […]
