I seem to start this blog in very much the same manner each year, with a statement referencing the approach of Christmas starting earlier each year. And each year, it feels earlier than the last. Yes, whilst all of you have been focussed on settling the little ones back into a school routine, I’ve been busy putting together another great range of Festive Extras to help you embrace the Christmas season which appears to be rapidly approaching. (I appreciate it is still too early for Christmas jumpers and jingle bells however!) So what Festive Packages have we got on offer […]

National Spa Week 2017

National Spa Week runs this year between the 30th October and the 5th November. Established by the UK Spa Association, the campaign has been designed to promote the use of spas and raise awareness of the many benefits of using spas regularly. Nowadays, many of us seem to live rather hectic lives. Between our jobs, social lives and social media, it can often feel like there aren’t quite enough hours in the day to balance all aspects of life comfortably. Hence the thinking behind National Spa Week. In recent years, studies have proven that the stresses of everyday life can […]

Pembrokeshire’s Autumn Attractions

Some of Pembrokeshire’s most popular attractions are our beautiful beaches. Visitors come from all over to explore our sandy shores; bringing with them buckets and spades, surfboards and wetsuits, picnics and beach-side games. Understandably then, the summer is a favourite time of year to visit. Everyone wants to make the most of the long sunny days and the warmer weather so it’s only natural we see a noticeable influx of people. But I’ll let you in on a little secret. As much as we locals love the summer, we adore the remaining three seasons just as much. After all, when […]

Countdown to the lift of dog restrictions

Some of you reading this may be experiencing some post-summer holiday blues, but the arrival of the winter months doesn’t have everyone reaching for next year’s calendar to plan the next summer holiday. No in fact, I think it’s safe to say that the 1st September kicks off a much anticipated countdown. I am of course referring to dog owners and their beloved furry friends who will soon be able to roam free on any beach they wish when the dog restrictions are lifted come October 1st. Each year a select few Pembrokeshire beaches impose restrictions during the summer months […]

Go Stargazing in Pembrokeshire

In recent years, Pembrokeshire has become a favourite for those wanting to explore the night’s skies. A number of Dark Skies Discovery Sites have even been appointed throughout the county, recognising locations across Pembrokeshire as recommended spots in the UK for stargazing. We locals have probably all been guilty at one time or another of taking our starry nights for granted, but many a time the breath-taking view has made me stop in my tracks, when I remember to look up that is. After all, there is something beautifully calming and peaceful about looking to the stars. For those of […]
