Today (8th March) is International Women’s Day 2019, a day dedicated to championing women and their incredible achievements. If you listen to any stories or read any books about the Last Invasion of Britain which took place in Fishguard in 1797, you’re guaranteed to hear the name Jemima Nicholas at some point. Each and every year, Pembrokeshire has a wealth of fantastic events taking place with something suitable for everyone. Athletes can take part in the Long Course Weekend in Tenby this July (5th – 7th) where you can swim, cycle and run. On Wednesday 28th November, Friends of the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park are inviting you to Haverfordwest Leisure Centre for an evening with RSPB Warden, Lisa Morgan. This event takes place from 7pm and will see Lisa share her unique first-hand experiences on the islands giving a wonderful insight into the day-to-day running of the reserves. Over the course of the evening, you will learn about the different species of wildlife on both islands and their habitats.
