About Green Plains

Green Plains is a delightful, detached, traditional cottage, renovated throughout to a high standard; it is tucked away on a quiet lane above the beautiful sandy beach at Wiseman’s Bridge. It offers the most stunning panoramic views down the valley over Carmarthen Bay and out to sea.  Green Plains dates back to 1785 and it has been in the family for up to six decades, during that time it used to be the only farm down the lane with no other properties around for miles.

Comfortably furnished with exposed stone walls, beams, tiled and practical laminate floors, a fitted kitchen leads through to the dining room and cosy lounge with wood burning stove for those chillier evenings. Nearly every room offers wonderful views over the fields to the shimmering sea beyond. Two staircases give access to the spacious bedrooms nestling in the eaves above.

The glazed porch to the front is perfect to just sit and admire the view, it opens to the enclosed lawned garden which is an ideal spot to sit or enjoy an alfresco meal on the decked area overlooking the valley on a summer’s evening while you marvel at the beautiful aspect and listen to the sound of bird song, together with garden suite and dining table, fire pit and barbecue.

A public footpath nearby leads via Pleasant Valley down to the beach at Wiseman’s Bridge 1 mile or 20 minute walk, refresh yourself in the Wiseman’s Bridge Inn, situated right on the beach and popular for food. Join the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path and explore this stunning coastline, Amroth with its long stretch of sand and beach side restaurants, shops and pubs is well worth a visit, while to the west lies the popular seaside villages of Saundersfoot with its picturesque harbour and array of pubs, restaurants and shops and the bustling walled town of Tenby with a choice of 4 more beaches.

A wonderful holiday home to get away from it all, whatever the season.

Access Statement

This Access Statement has been prepared by the owner for your information; it is the most recent version that we have received. This statement has been prepared as objectively as possible, however with such a wide remit oversights may be made.

Please ensure all crucial requirements for a safe and enjoyable holiday are present so if you have any queries whatsoever, please do not hesitate to contact us on 01437 767600.

The property is situated on a fairly narrow lane used regularly by agricultural vehicles. Please ensure that you park vehicles carefully to avoid causing any kind of obstruction. There is a steep, narrow driveway which accommodates two vehicles parked carefully. The main door from the driveway opens into the utility area. Once inside the property, the ground floor is level. There is a step down into the kitchen with a low beam overhead - MIND YOUR HEAD! The bathroom is on the ground floor. Due to the ceiling height, the electric shower is low. The ceilings in the kitchen and bathroom are low – anyone over 6ft 4in tall might find this problematic. The staircase to one bedroom is steep with narrow treads – PLEASE TAKE EXTRA CARE! Two other bedrooms on the first floor are approached via another staircase. The bedroom approached by narrow steep stairs is a twin room with restricted headroom, as set in eaves. The garden is enclosed. There is a flat lawned area to the front of house, then landscaped area to the side, planted, with changes of level.
