It is only a few minutes downhill walk to the beautiful and unspoilt sandy beach - here join the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path and admire the wonderful sea views over St Brides Bay.
The cottage is surrounded by a lawned garden. The shallow stream to one side is fenced.
Comfortably furnished in a contemporary style with the spacious lounge having a leather corner sofa and the cosy bedrooms being well appointed. French doors open onto a large, sunny decked area which is perfect for alfresco dining. The property also benefits from a sizeable porch which is useful for storing wet clothing, shoes and luggage.
Avalon has proven popular over the years with many guests returning and is a must for those seeking a good family holiday in an area abundant with leisure activities including horse riding at Nolton village and for the more adventurous kite surfing at Newgale beach.

After it's huge success in previous years, the Haverfoodfest is back! Making the most of quality local produce, the Haverfoodfest welcomes everyone to sample the incredible food and drink that our local producers have to offer. With a number of food stalls, as well as demonstrations, competitions and entertainment, the Haverfoodfest is certainly one to be on the list of events to go to this year!

Hosted by the RSPB and Marine Special Areas of Conservation, you can join the Friends of the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park (FPCNP) on a trip to the islands of Ramsey and Grassholm, both known for their magnificent wildlife and seabirds. This is a fantastic opportunity to go wildlife spotting and enjoy a Guided Walk learning all about the islands.
Enter a 5K fun run at Carew Airfield this May and help Paul Satori fund raise for their great cause. This fun run will take place across an inflatable course complete with obstacles, foam and more! Plan a visit to Picton Castle this May for their very first food festival - The Picton Feast! Spread across two days, this event will take place in the stunning grounds of Picton Castle. There will be a range of food and refreshments available with stallholders offering great produce, demonstrations, talks and music entertainment.
The Preseli Beast is an off-road racing event, still a relatively new event. Approximately 24 miles off road, this race takes in a route through wooded valleys, trails and paths taking in scenery across the Gwaun Valley and Newport Bay. Opt for a smaller race with the Beast Bach, an 11 mile off-road race, or rise to the challenge of the Ultrabeast - a 32 mile off-road race! The start and finish are in Maenclochog, with the Ultrabeast kicking off first.
This Charity Horse and Dog Show is an annual event which occurs in May each year in St. David's. With show jumping, dog shows, stalls and refreshments, this is a great day out for all those interested in horses and dogs!
Running from the event headquarters at Crug Glas Country House Hotel near St Davids, this event sees approximately 1500 cyclists take part in the sportive tour of Pembrokeshire. There are now four distance routes covering much of North Pembrokeshire taking you through Fishguard, Newport and Cardigan depending on the distance you take part in. It's a great event for athletes and supporters alike, children can even take part too! Please note, all riders under 17 must be accompanied by an adult.
The St Davids Cathedral Festival takes place across ten days with a range of classical and contemporary musical performances taking place in the beautiful setting of St Davids Cathedral. This event is a success year after year, and is definitely one not to be missed. Performers in the past have included the BBC National Orchestra of Wales, The Sixteen, Goodwick Brass Band. With two different distances available, you can either enter the Middle Distance event which is made up of a 1.2 mile swim, a 56 mile cycle and a 13.1 mile run; or the Sprint Distance which is made up of a 750m swim, a 13 mile cycle and a 4 mile run. Rock the Castle is back for yet another year! This fantastic event sees Pembroke Castle host two consecutive nights of live music with an impressive stage set inside the magnificent grounds of the castle for a truly unique and memorable weekend. In 2019, Pembroke Castle have pulled out all the stops and guaranteed some incredible well-known acts. Status Quo, Bonnie Tyler and Dr Feelgood will perform on the Friday night followed by Sister Sledge, Gabrielle and Jazz Morley taking to the stage on the Saturday night. The triathlon with a difference is back once again! Spread across the three days, the Wales Swim takes place on the Friday night on Tenby North Beach, the Sportive on the Saturday and the Marathon on the Sunday. Athletes can opt for just one event or all three meaning everyone who wants to can get involved! Children can even get involved on the Friday in the Taff Kids event! It really is a great event with an exciting atmosphere, athletes and supporters are encouraged to get involved for the whole weekend!

Pembrokeshire's County Show returns for another year! This annual event brings thousands of people to the Haverfordwest Showground each year. With a variety of crafts and stalls, there is also displays, exhibitions and performances to see! There is a whole host of agricultural machinery on display as well as livestock to see, a fair, and a number of horse and dog shows. Of course there is also plenty of opportunities to meet and greet with local businesses, as well as sampling some great local produce on offer in the food hall!

Saundersfoot's newest triathlon is back for 2019! Running the day before Ironman Wales, this triathlon is a sprint triathlon with a 750m sea swim, a 20km bike ride and a 5km run. The event is open to adults and children aged 14 and over.
Once again, Narberth is welcoming visitors and locals to the village for their annual Food Festival. Make the most of the weekend and sample a whole range of quality local produce that Pembrokeshire has to offer. A perfect way to bring in the new year, Victoria Hall in Roch is hosting their annual New Years celebrations with a bonfire and fireworks. The event starts from 5pm onwards with the lighting of the bonfire, and refreshments are available in the hall throughout the evening. Admission to be paid upon entry.
A perfect way to start the year, whether you're taking part or just supporting! This event is all in the aid of charity with sponsorship coming from local businesses – everybody really does get involved! Each year they set a fancy dress theme to add to the excitement.
A military fortress, museum and cafe located within the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park. The museum at Chapel Bay Fort is illustrated and explains military technology and weaponry through the ages, with a variety of displays including artillery and associated tools and instruments, WW I, Bomb Disposal and Waterloo amongst others. Volunteers are on hand to answer any question and add to your appreciation of the displays.
Guided tours are conducted by a dedicated team of volunteers and provide access to areas of the fort which are otherwise out of bounds to the public. Tours present further information about Chapel Bay Fort and the defences of Milford Haven and the Royal Dockyard at Pembroke Dock, alongside information about the large exhibits displayed on the terreplein of the fort.
A tour lasts approximately 40 minutes, and is included in the entrance fee to the museum.
We have really enjoyed our stay here at Avalon. We come every year to Pembrokeshire and love the area. Our morning walks at Druidston with the dogs were lovely and we were extremely lucky with the weather. We hope to come and stay again next year! We thoroughly appreciated the mint in the garden for our pimms! Thank you.
Wow! What a wonderful cottage. Felt so relaxed and comfortable, this place has everything you need for a great holiday. Beds comfy, no problems at all. Recommend Whitesands for surfing - hire the wetsuits for £10 adults, £8 kids and surf all day! St Justinians for a stunning walk and Blue Lagoon for 3 hours swimming, sliding and hot tub for me! Pembroke Castle great for kids. Wonderful stay - we will be back - thank you guys! xxx
Another lovely week in this quiet corner of Wales, and at Avalon! Really like the improvements - sofa is much more comfy. Coast walks to Druidston and Newgale were good, didn't quite make it to the sea this time - nice weather but a chilly breeze. Overall nice and relaxing, and comfortable week. Thank you once again!
Once again we have had a lovely week at Avalon. Great improvement to garden and cottage. Chilly wind but whole week was sunny - not warm enough to swim, but had lots of lovely walks and paddling. We will be back again. Thank you.

The cottage is lovely, clean and well equipped. Warm and cosy, fantastic area, We had beautiful weather with loads of sunshine. so quiet and peaceful here. We did have trouble with the tv took ages to get it to work. Would be nice if garden fence was more dog proof to stop dogs getting into the stream, We enjoyed our stay and will certainly try to come again. A lovely place to relax and recharge the batteries, very peaceful and quiet, not overlooked, First holiday with Lucy our dog she loved the sea and beaches, we would definitely come here again,Had good Sunday lunch at Harbour Inn Solva, Day trip to Tenby, Saundersfoot, walked along south beach in a t shirt in October!
