About Awel y Mor

Awel y Mor is a lovely detached bungalow in an enviable elevated position on a quiet cul-de-sac with the most stunning sweeping sea views over the Nevern estuary, Newport Sands and out to sea.

Just on the outskirts of Newport, all its facilities as well as the renowned beach are within walking distance. 4 steps or a ramped pathway lead into this welcoming holiday home, comfortably furnished in a contemporary style it is well-equipped, it has a light and airy feel and the large windows really make the most of the fabulous views. The spacious hallway is ideal for walkers and families offering lots of space. The modern, fitted kitchen is well-equipped and leads out to a play room in the conservatory and through to the rear enclosed garden.

The spacious sitting/dining room offers the most wonderful sea views, as does the master double bedroom. Wake in the morning to watch the sun glistening on the water. A bunk room, twin room with ensuite shower room and family bathroom complete the accommodation. There are plenty of spaces outside where you can sit and soak up the view or dine alfresco, with a paved terrace to the front and south facing patio to the rear.

The rear garden is all enclosed, so ideal for pets; steps lead up to the raised lawn also with a sea view, while there is room for supervised children to play on another lawn across the road. Conveniently located, the wonderful sandy beach at Newport is within a short walk, keen surfers, water sports, and sailing enthusiasts are well catered for.

Explore the Nevern estuary, teeming in bird and wildlife or take to the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path to really appreciate this dramatic, rugged coastline, heading west to Aberfforest, Cwm yr Eglwys and Pwllgwaelod taking in Dinas Head or north east towards Ceibwr Bay. If you head out on foot, catch the Poppit Rocket bus back, it drops you off at the top of the road. Alternatively, a walk up Carn Ingli (mountain of angels) and over the Preselis is well worth it, the views are breathtaking over the coast. The bustling centre of Newport with its range of shops, restaurants, pubs and galleries to wander are all within a short walk. Community spirit is strong with many seasonal events held mostly centred on the sea with its popular boat club, while golfers will enjoy the local course and club overlooking the sea.

There really is something for everyone, an ideal holiday home whatever the season, for families and friends to enjoy.
