The street market in Newport runs from the beginning of April to the end of December. The market is open on Mondays, weather permitting, from Its aim is to promote and sell local produce and products and it presents an opportunity to buy fresh produce and locally reared meats.
Dyfed Shire Horse Farm, Eglwyswrw a tourist attraction at the foot of the Preseli Mountains. They are known internationally for breeding a shire horse called Major Mercury (aka Dyfed Celt) one of the household cavalry drum horses. There is plenty for the whole family to do, whatever the weather. Daily Timetable of activities including, Harnessing demonstrations, during which we will dress the horse in a working set of harness and explain the function and history of the harness, Horse and cart rides (Summer Holidays Only) Tractor ride around the working farm, Animal Feeding and Donkey Grooming. They also have an Indoor soft play area & Outdoor adventure area - Crazy Golf, Sand Shed and Skittles. Nature Trail with woodlands and hedgerows to explore and stunning views of the Preseli Mountains to enjoy.

Head to Fishguard's Town Hall every Saturday morning for the popular Farmer's Market where you'll have a chance to sample and buy a range of local produce such as eggs, cheeses, breads, jams and chutneys.

Narberth will be hosting their very own Queen bee Carnival on the 29th July, they aim to raise awareness for the important role of bees in our ecosystem. The carnival will display a swarm of worker bees chasing their queen bee down Narberth High Street with their own movable meadow. The West Wales Wool Show in Narberth is a celebration of all things woolly. From beautifully hand crafted items, clothing and footwear to knitting wool, fleece and all the equipment needed to make at home. Demonstrations run throughout the day with stall holders sharing their skills and knowledge with visitors plus wool skill workshops such as felting. The main aim of the show is to support local wool producers and small craft businesses. Wool as a renewable resource is still undervalued and the show aims to bring this wonderful natural resource back into focus. The show is run by the Pembrokeshire Guild of Weavers, Spinners and Dyers with support from PLANED.
Fishguard’s Autumn Festival will be holding a ‘Family fun and Fireworks’ on Goodwick seafront. Pembrokeshire Firespinners will be at the event this year as well as many other fun activities.

A perfect way to bring in the new year, Victoria Hall in Roch is hosting their annual New Years celebrations with a bonfire and fireworks. The event starts from 5pm onwards with the lighting of the bonfire, and refreshments are available in the hall throughout the evening. Admission to be paid upon entry.

A lovely holiday in a beautiful part of Wales. We really enjoyed Newport and the surrounding area, Particularly the Perrog and Newport Sands which are beautiful. Ate at Llys Meddyg, which was outstanding. House well appointed and comfortable and we enjoyed sitting in the garden in the sunshine. A great first family holiday for the two babies. Looking forward to coming back to Newport again!

Another splendid holiday in this timeless corner of Pembrokeshire. Many long walks along the beach and estuary with our Irish Jetter and German Wire. Haired Pointer. We found everything in the house, warm and comfortable as always. Pleasant strolls around the town that has just the right amount of shops and pubs. Our 17th visit to pembrokeshire but first here. Very nice cottage loved the attic room and outside loo!! Blessed with good weather, so garden chairs etc used loads.
Super holiday made easy by a week of continuous sunshine. We found your house so easy to live in, light and airy and well equipped. If and when we return we shan't be looking for anywhere else.
