The street market in Newport runs from the beginning of April to the end of December. The market is open on Mondays, weather permitting, from Its aim is to promote and sell local produce and products and it presents an opportunity to buy fresh produce and locally reared meats.
Dyfed Shire Horse Farm, Eglwyswrw a tourist attraction at the foot of the Preseli Mountains. They are known internationally for breeding a shire horse called Major Mercury (aka Dyfed Celt) one of the household cavalry drum horses. There is plenty for the whole family to do, whatever the weather. Daily Timetable of activities including, Harnessing demonstrations, during which we will dress the horse in a working set of harness and explain the function and history of the harness, Horse and cart rides (Summer Holidays Only) Tractor ride around the working farm, Animal Feeding and Donkey Grooming. They also have an Indoor soft play area & Outdoor adventure area - Crazy Golf, Sand Shed and Skittles. Nature Trail with woodlands and hedgerows to explore and stunning views of the Preseli Mountains to enjoy.

Head to Fishguard's Town Hall every Saturday morning for the popular Farmer's Market where you'll have a chance to sample and buy a range of local produce such as eggs, cheeses, breads, jams and chutneys.

This design incorporates a concertina construction in the spine and can be finished with a ribbon tie or cord. A firm favourite with our regular visitors, Picton Castle's Easter Egg Trail for children is a self-guided scamper through fabulous woodlands as they burst into bloom. Collect your leaflet at the Ticket Office and follow the trail – you will find clues along the way! When you have finished, pop into the Gift Shop to collect your prize. It's a great way for the whole family to enjoy the woodlands as masses of Rhododendrons, Azaleas and Magnolias come into flower. While the kids rush around in search of clues, the ‘grown-ups' can enjoy the magnificent colours and scents. After the walk, what better reward than a nice warming cup of hot chocolate with cream and a homemade cake in the Courtyard Restaurant, or perhaps make it a lunchtime visit and enjoy the Spanish dish of the day with a glass of wine or beer! Day three of the MKF ( Midlands Kite Fliers) Rendezvous with a day flying at Hilton Court Gardens and Crafts, Roch, Pembrokeshire with its stunning coastal views overlooking St Brides Bay.
The Preseli Beast is an off-road racing event, still a relatively new event as it is only in its fifth year now. Approximately 24 miles off road, this race takes in a route through wooded valleys, trails and paths taking in scenery across the Gwaun Valley and Newport Bay. Opt for a smaller race with the Beast Bach, an 11 mile off-road race, or rise to the challenge of the Ultrabeast - a 32 mile off-road race! The start and finish are in Maenclochog, with the Ultrabeast kicking off first at 9am.
The Man Up In The Mud run is a great mud run approximately 4.5 miles in distance. Following a great coastal route, the course promises to be boggy and muddy with obstacles to climb over and under!

With two different distances available, you can either enter the Middle Distance Ocean Lava event which is made up of a 1.2 mile swim, a 56 mile cycle and a 13.1 mile run; or the Wales Triathlon Sprint Distance which is made up of a 750m swim, a 13 mile cycle and a 4 mile run. Cardigan River and Food Festival is an annual event which strives to showcase the fantastic local produce available in Wales with demonstrations, entertainment and activities. Of course - there will be ample opportunities to see and taste some of that local produce on offer!
Pembrokeshire's County Show returns for another year! This annual event brings thousands of people to the Haverfordwest Showground each year. With a variety of crafts and stalls, there is also displays, exhibitions and performances to see! There is a whole host of agricultural machinery on display as well as livestock to see, a fair, and a number of horse and dog shows. Of course there is also plenty of opportunities to meet and greet with local businesses, as well as sampling some great local produce on offer in the food hall!

Fishguard once again welcomes you to it's Annual New Year's Eve Street Party! With celebrations, live music and fireworks - it really is a fantastic party to celebrate the coming of the New Year! A lovely holiday in a beautiful part of Wales. We really enjoyed Newport and the surrounding area, Particularly the Perrog and Newport Sands which are beautiful. Ate at Llys Meddyg, which was outstanding. House well appointed and comfortable and we enjoyed sitting in the garden in the sunshine. A great first family holiday for the two babies. Looking forward to coming back to Newport again!

Another splendid holiday in this timeless corner of Pembrokeshire. Many long walks along the beach and estuary with our Irish Jetter and German Wire. Haired Pointer. We found everything in the house, warm and comfortable as always. Pleasant strolls around the town that has just the right amount of shops and pubs. Our 17th visit to pembrokeshire but first here. Very nice cottage loved the attic room and outside loo!! Blessed with good weather, so garden chairs etc used loads.
Super holiday made easy by a week of continuous sunshine. We found your house so easy to live in, light and airy and well equipped. If and when we return we shan't be looking for anywhere else.
