Buttercup Cottage nestles next door to Daisy, overlooking a pretty courtyard down an unmade lane on the owner’s 10 acre smallholding outside the sleepy rural village of Llanfallteg, just 5 miles from the pretty market town of Narberth.
The front and side terrace are a veritable sun trap and the perfect spot to just sit and relax, step into the open-plan living space comfortably furnished with compact fitted kitchen, 2 welcoming bedrooms and a shower room. Your own large, enclosed meadow style garden with picnic bench, gives plenty of space for children and dogs to play or enjoy following the footpaths or wandering the fields, but care is needed when sheep are in the fields. With storage for bikes and a hose to wash off your bikes and gear, it is ideal for those who enjoy outdoor activities or cycling the lanes. Bird and wildlife enthusiasts will be in their element in this relaxing rural location.
Tucked away in rolling green countryside on the outskirts of Llanfallteg with its strong community spirit, the village pub serving food is within walking distance and often hosts local events, as well as a small children’s playground.
Conveniently situated, on the Pembrokeshire/Carmarthenshire border, all the attractions these two Counties have to offer are within easy reach. The bustling market town of Narberth is only 5 miles away with a range of boutique shops, pubs, restaurants and antique markets to try, treat yourself to a night at the Queens Theatre or a meal at the super Grove Hotel. The sandy beach of Amroth with its sea front shops, pubs and restaurants overlooking the sea is the closest. Join the National Coastal Path here to really appreciate this stunning coastline on foot. Take in the popular seaside towns of Saundersfoot and Tenby a little further on, each with beautiful sandy beaches. History buffs will love the plethora of medieval Castles to visit including Pembroke and Carew, or alternatively follow in the footsteps of Dylan Thomas with a visit to his home town of Laugharne. The 25 miles of golden sand at Pendine, site of the British land speed record, is sure to amaze while Pembrey Country Park is popular. Golfing enthusiasts will enjoy Heronsbrook Golf Course just outside Narberth and there are a choice of family attractions for the children including Folly Farm, Oakwood Theme Park, Manor House Wildlife Park and Heatherton World of Activities, to name a few.

First ever staycation - Covid gave us no choice! But what a choice we made! Buttercup cottage ticked all the boxes and we have had quality family time in a clean, peaceful and ideal setting. The children absolutely loved playing in the outdoor spaces and have not asked for an iPad once! Thankyou so much!
