Wake to the sound of the sea and the call of Oystercatchers.....
A newly converted stone cottage full of character, Carreg Samson sits ten paces from the sand and pebble beach in the pretty fishing village of Abercastle.
Renovated throughout to a high standard, yet retaining its charm and character with exposed stone walls and roof beams, the bedrooms are on the ground floor, whilst upstairs the open plan living space with modern fitted kitchen, dining area and lounge area is dominated by a large window which looks out over stunning views of the bay and out to sea. In the evening watch the sun slowly sink below the cliffs and enjoy spectacular sunsets.
Outside, there is an enclosed paved courtyard with picnic tables for alfresco dining and an area of lawn.
Spend your days on the beach, messing about in the water, watching the fishermen bring in their catch or walk the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path which passes your door and explore the stunning coastline on foot. Head to Aberfelin Beach below the village of Trefin or Abermawr and Aberbach Bay.
In the neighbouring village of Mathry, there is a popular pub and tea rooms, while Trefin also has a pub, cafe/art gallery only 2 miles away. Any holiday should include a visit to Strumble Head with its lighthouse; Porthgain and The Sloop Inn and Shed Bistro; Abereiddy and the Blue Lagoon are all within a short drive. A little further afield lies the tiny City of St Davids with its excellent facilities, historic Cathedral and Bishops Palace. Just outside of the City lies Whitesands Bay, a popular surfing beach and recognised as one of the most beautiful beaches in the country.
There is something for everyone staying at this delightful holiday home, right on the edge of the beach.

Carreg Samson is situated in the small coastal village of Abercastle only a few yards from a sand and shingle beach. It is accessed along a single track 'no through road' with a turning area and parking at the end for few cars. There are no facilities in the village. To the rear of the property is a fully enclosed garden with a level patio area with wooden picnic tables. Also within the garden is a lawned area and a gravel driveway large enough for 3 cars. The main entrance to the house is at the rear of the house and there is one step up into a hallway with bedrooms and bathroom off the hallway. There is a step up to the bunk room. Stairs lead to the first floor open plan lounge, kitchen and dining area and shower room. There are plenty of table lights to supplement lighting in an old cottage. The luxury fitted kitchen has hob and built in oven, microwave, washer/dryer, dishwasher. There are no under unit lights. The ground floor hallway is slate, the bathroom is tiled and the bedrooms are carpeted. The stairs have oak treads leading up to the kitchen, dining and lounge area which is oak tiled with a large rug in the seating area. There are no interconnecting rooms, and there is no one available to assist with luggage and there is no ramp available. There is external sensor lighting over the patio area only. There is a bus stop at the end of the lane some 200 yards away from the property. The local bus service and the timetable varies. The village is accessed by road on either side of the valley. There is a steep hill on both sides.
