Cross Cottage is a sweet, white washed, detached cottage dating back to 1865 and probably one of the oldest right in the centre of the historical village of St Florence. Comfortably furnished, it retains its original character. A short path leads to the glazed porch and into the spacious dining room with 2 steps up to the fitted kitchen. The cosy lounge with beams and lovely stone Inglenook with wood burning stove is ideal for relaxing on chillier evenings. Open tread stairs lead from the dining room to the 2 pretty bedrooms nestling in the eaves. A rear hall off the kitchen opens to the enclosed walled patio, a wonderful sun trap where you can dine alfresco or enjoy a summer's barbecue.
There is a well stocked shop as well as 2 local pubs, both popular for their food and a garden centre with tea room all within walking distance in the village itself. St Florence is conveniently situated in the Ritec Valley and only 3 to 4 miles from Tenby with its award winning golden beaches, picturesque harbour and excellent facilities, as well as the village of Manorbier with its historic castle and beautiful sandy beach, or Saundersfoot with further sandy beaches to explore. There are a number of family attractions, Manor House Wildlife Park is within walking distance as well as Heatherton Activity Park, while Folly Farm and Oakwood Theme Park are only a 10 minute drive away. For golfing enthusiasts there are 2 excellent golf courses, Tenby and the picturesque Trefloyne Golf Club and Country Park nearby.

The cottage is approached via A-road then on to a B-road. Parking is outside – but do not park immediately on the corner (some locals, may cut the corner and buses and larger vehicles need space to get around the corner, and if you part too close, it could cause an accident). There is a metal hand gate and concrete ramp/path to the front door, there are 2 steps. Care is needed as there are several levels in the paving. Inside all downstairs rooms are well lit, with both natural light and many lamps and central lights - there are two steps up to the kitchen, with no handrail. The stairs to the two bedrooms can be quite steep, there is a quarter turn in the stairs which are open tread the bottom two steps do NOT have any handrail. Care is needed on the landing as there is more than one level of flooring. Both bedrooms have restricted headroom as they are in the eaves of the cottage. The bathroom with separate shower is well light and is located downstairs. The garden is mostly paved with a raised paved steating area. There is a small covered pond. The rear garden also has an outside tap for your convenience. There is a bus stop just back from the junction outside the house to the left side of the cottage with regular services to Tenby and Pembroke Dock. Currently there is a well stocked local shop (open 7 days a week) if you turn left at the front gate and walk down into the lower part of the village it is about 200 yards on the left hand side.
