This charming cottage in Trefin, in the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park, has been skillfully converted from a former stone dairy and barn and occupies a pleasant position in a conservation area on the edge of the village.
The entrance hall leads via two steps to the open-plan, newly fitted kitchen, dining area and living room beyond. The area is comfortably and prettily furnished in keeping with the cottage theme with exposed timber beams and stone fireplace adding to the charm. French doors open out onto a sunny patio which is ideal for enjoying meals outside and there is a large, lawned garden where children can play.
Upstairs is a quaint double room with exposed beams and a modern bathroom with large shower cubicle. The comfortable twin room on the ground floor is a welcome retreat with garden views and there is an adjacent cloakroom with wash hand basin and wc.
Dairy Cottage is ideally situated for exploring this beautiful section of coastline with its hidden rocky coves and sandy beaches. The cottage is a short walk from the village pub and a craft shop/cafe and less than half a mile away from Aberfelin Cove and the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path and in nearby Square & Compass you will find a petrol station with convenience store for your groceries.
The attractive inlet of Abercastle is 5 minutes away by car and other nearby attractions include Tregwynt Woollen Mill, the popular, historic harbour of Porthgain and Strumble Head with bird observatory and lighthouse. The scenic Gwaun Valley and the tiny Cathedral City of St Davids with its shops, galleries, pubs and restaurants are also within easy reach.
