Approached by country lane. The cottage is on a steep hill with gravel parking. 5 bar gate to garden. Feasible to reverse a vehicle through gate to front door across gravel inset with slabs, but car doors may then have restricted space to open fully. Only entrance is by double doors reached by three 9” high steps. The small garden is fully slabbed on one level to meet the gently sloping lawn beyond. Low ranch style fence to neighbouring steeply sloping garden and field. Entrance leads to living space, very well-lit with additional skylights over dining table. TV and remote control. Two low steps up to kitchen. One step down to twin bedroom and cot room. Dog leg stairs to double bedroom and bathroom. Limited public transport along coast, bus runs approximately three times per day during summer and three times per week in winter. Bus can be hailed from immediately outside the cottage. Property is ‘No Pets’, but we would accept a registered Guide Dog.
Enjoyed another holiday a Ffesant - 3 weeks this time. Weather mixed but good for walking. Very relaxing.
Another enjoyable holiday here. Though unfortunately we could not stay full week.
Lovely relaxing week - especially nice to sit and listen to all the different birds in the garden. Great day out to Skomer Island and enjoyed walking from Porthgain to Abereiddi and back. 2 Fab menus in The Shed in Porthgain. Also lovely chocolates from St. Davids.
We arrived in sunshine to an immaculate cottage, as usual and the sun has continued to shine all week. Yes, the fish and chips at The Shed are excellent, but we also had a lovely meal in Siop Fach tea room.
Mixed weather - very windy at times. Enjoyed all our usual walks and our second stay this 'home from home' cottage.
Enjoyed another holiday break in this lovely cottage. Our 15th stay in this spot. Mixed weather during the week. Have booked another week in September. Thank you.
A lovely relaxing few days! Weather very nice too! Thank you for a perfect stay in a very appointed cottage.
An improving week weather wise. Visited all the usual favourite beaches and watched a seal watching us at a remote bay. For the first time in over a year we are going home to a finished new home and no builders. Bliss!
Our 3rd time to Pembrokeshire. Loved the cottage and location, great for walking and beaching. Had some lovely swims at high tide here and fantastic day trips to keep everyone happy and amused.
Cottage a lovely surprise. Comfortable, well equipped area. Lovely We also love Wales. Will certainly return again if available. Thank you.
Love Pembrokeshire and Abercastle. Loads of seals and dolphins!
We've had a great few days. Loved the Bishops Palace at St David's. Enjoyed the galleries there. Good meals at The Sloop cafe in Porthgain. Walked there yesterday from Ffesant along the Coastal Path. Warm and cosy cottage. but not cold outside.
Thank you for sharing your cottage with us. The location is beautiful and we have had lovely weather, 1 day of rain all fortnight. The little birds are a delight to watch. We have walked and seen seals and pups and sat on lovely sandy beaches looking out to sea enjoying peace and quiet.
Lovely cottage in a beautiful location. Great to have such a lovely place to explore from. Great coastal walks and quiet lanes to cycle on. Nice friendly pub in Trefin. An excellent week with lovely weather. Don't want to go home...a perfect get away. Sad to hear the cottage is up for sale.
Our second year and as last year a perfect week of peace and quiet and wonderful walks. The weather was also perfect for us - wet grey mornings whilst we were rising and glorious hot sunny afternoon to be out and about. So very sorry we might not be able to return if you sell. Thanks!
Once again we have enjoyed a lovely holiday here - warm sunshine and stong winds - heavenly walks and some canoeing. We have been coming for many years now and we were saddened to read the cottage is up for sale and that we might not be able to return. Thank you for sharing it throughout the years - it has always been welcoming, warm and comfortable - a home from home. We shall miss it very much.
A lovely stay in Abercastle again and a delightful cottage to hide from Storm Frank!
What a lovely cosy cottage. Such a peaceful setting! We will definitely be back!
Lovely cottage, very sunny garden. Good weather. Many thanks for the biscuits and wine went down a treat! Fed the birds, very appreciative

Another peaceful and enjoyable holiday in this lovely cottage. Weather was fairly good despite the wind,. Hope to return again next year in july/sept. Abercastle has not altered since the 1st time I came in 1963.
Very lovely weather - lovely relaxing time. Well stocked cottage, we even enjoyed a BBQ! Thanks!
Cottage is in brilliant location! Walk along Abercastle to Trefin is a must. Meals at 'the shed', Porthgain is amazing. Whitesands to St Davids Head coastal walk is beautiful and the Grove Hotel at St Davids serve tasty meals. Wildlife adventure boat trips to Remsey Island - definately worth the money. The bird and sea life is incredible.

A wonderful location for coastal path walking, in particular to Traeth Llyfn via The Sloop at Porthgain. A much enjoyed week in a cottage which kept us warm.
This cottage has been an ideal place for us to spend our honeymoon. It has been a peaceful and restful holiday for both of us.
