About Garden Pitts

Garden Pitts is a charming detached traditional stone farmhouse set yards from the shores of the beautiful Cleddau Estuary in the village of Landshipping. With views over this secret waterway, it is a perfect peaceful retreat. Finished to a high standard throughout with solid wood floors and quality furnishings, it offers contemporary facilities, yet retaining a traditional feel. Enjoy leisurely meals with family and friends around the refectory style dining table, prepared in the well-equipped cottage style, modern fitted kitchen.

The spacious dual-aspect sitting room with comfy leather sofas is perfect for relaxing. French doors open to a paved terrace and the large, enclosed lawn which surround the house. Soak up the views to this ever-changing tidal waterway, while you enjoy an alfresco meal on a balmy summer’s evening, there is plenty of space for children to play. Stairs lead up to the four bedrooms above, all with ensuites, beautifully furnished with crisp white linen and offering super rural views, while the dual-aspect master bedroom has a super water aspect. Choose which two you require for your stay. 

In the heart of the National Park, the area teams with bird and wildlife and will never cease to amaze. Sailing enthusiasts can take advantage of the nearness of the water with a slipway for launching boats and kayaks nearby. While the area abounds in footpaths and trails, perfect for keen walkers who will love discovering the wooded shoreline, dotted with sleepy villages and quaint pubs, hardly touched by time. Enjoy a meal at the Lawrenny Arms, a waterside pub popular with sailors and locals, which often holds events over the summer months or the highly recommended, Lawrenny Tea Rooms. Other nearby pubs to visit include The Cresswell Arms at Cresswell Quay or The Snooty Fox at Martletwy. The Cwm Deri Vineyard is well worth a visit with excellent food and wine tasting, all against a stunning, rural backdrop.

The bustling market town of Narberth is only a 15 minute drive away with its range of boutique shops, galleries, delis and restaurants waiting to be sampled. There are a range of family attractions to visit including Oakwood Theme Park, Heatherton World of Activities and Anna’s Welsh Zoo, while you are never far from a beach with Saundersfoot and Tenby all within a short drive.

Approached via A-roads, then 3 miles of country lanes. The property is accessed by a double wooden gate leading into a gravel drive with a slight incline. Ample parking for 5 cars. Flat path of stone slabs lead to front door reached by x5 inch steps. Alternative entrance at the rear with flat path of stone slabs offering a door with a 3 quarter of an inch threshold or patio door (5ft 4 inches) wide with 4 inch step into property. Guests can be met on arrival by owner who can assist with luggage. Ground floor has a toilet, large kitchen, lounge and dining room. Kitchen has a rustic slate floor and all other rooms have wooden floors. Normal size fridge freezer and units with large range cooker in kitchen. Good natural and artificial lighting in all ground floor rooms. TV with teletext and DVD operated by remote control. Garden extends to approx half an acre of flat lawns to the front side and rear of house with large flat stone patio to the side and rear. Guide dogs welcome. No public transport is available.
