15 minutes by car will take you to the historic tiny city of St Davids with its wonderful Cathedral and Bishops Palace. Whitesands, named officially one of the best beaches is highly rated by families and surfers both professional and beginners, it has a hire shop and seasonal beachside cafe for refreshments.
In the other direction, just over 15 minutes by car takes you to the harbour and market town of Fishguard with its range of pubs, galleries, shops, cafes and restaurants to try, as well as a leisure centre and local cinema. This whole area has been used for several major film sets including Moby Dick and Under Milkwood and there a number of events held over the summer including regattas and music festivals.
Many coves and villages are to be discovered along the Coast Path, including Abercastle, Porthgain and Abereiddy with its famous blue lagoon.
Gwestyr Wennol is the ideal base to explore Pembrokeshire at any time of year.
