About Havelock House

Havelock House is a super detached house, tucked away in a delightful rural setting on the edge of the quiet hamlet of Sutton, yet only a short drive to the Pembrokeshire coast. Surrounded by mature trees and bordered by a fenced stream, it is an idyllic location, beautifully and comfortably furnished, enjoy relaxing in the dual-aspect sitting room with French doors leading to a paved patio. The enclosed garden wraps around the house with lawns, paved patios and plenty of spots to dine alfresco or enjoy a drink as you follow the sun round throughout the day.

The spacious, modern, fitted kitchen/diner is well-equipped and also opens to the garden, while the large utility room is excellent for dogs and drying walking gear.

Stairs lead up to the galleried landing with light bedrooms and bathroom leading off, the master bedroom with ensuite shower room is very spacious with a lovely area to sit and relax with a good book.

Conveniently located, it is less than 3 miles from the pretty market town of Haverfordwest set on the river against a Castle backdrop, enjoy its popular Farmers Market and range of facilities. Pembrokeshire’s stunning coastline and Coastal Path is nearby, the closest being Nolton and Broad Haven, both within 4 miles. Marvel at the long sandy beach at Broad Haven with its beachside pubs, restaurants and cafes, try your hand at one of the many water sports on offer in the hire shop, the beach is popular with families, as well as surfers, both beginners and professionals alike. Take to the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path on foot to really appreciate its rugged beauty. The picturesque sandy cove of Nolton has a beachside pub; a beach ride from Nolton Haven is sure to be a highlight of any holiday, while a little further on, the popular Newgale Sands beach should not be missed. Solva, one of the prettiest villages in Pembrokeshire, is within easy reach with its delightful harbour and range of pubs and galleries, while the tiny City of St Davids with its Cathedral and Bishops Palace is only a little further on.

Havelock House is a wonderful holiday home, whatever the season, tucked away yet within easy reach of all this wonderful County has to offer.

Pets: 2 - £15 per pet per week/short break

Heating: LPG heating, underfloor heating downstairs.

Approached from a B-road, the property is located approximately half mile along a country lane with passing places. Havelock House is accessed by 12’ double gates leading to a compacted stone parking area for 4 cars. From the parking area, there is a 6” step to paved path around entire house with level access to front door, patio and garden. There is a rough stone ramp allowing wheelchair access, perhaps with some assistance, from car park to path. The patio has luxury garden furniture and barbecue facilities. There is a lockable garden shed which can be used for holding visitor’s bikes or other outdoor equipment. There is a step-free access from path into Havelock House through 36” wide front door which is protected from the elements by a large open porch. Entry is into a wide tiled hallway with plenty of room for coats, boots and shoes with access off to: Large, bright, lounge with window to front and patio doors to rear, ample seating and occasional tables plus small table for writing or playing games, and large Smart TV. Spacious kitchen/diner with window to front and patio doors to rear. The well-equipped kitchen has extensive worktops, island unit and low-level oven. The dining area has a large oak table and chairs plus two comfy armchairs, sideboard with games and magazines, and Smart TV. Door leads from kitchen to utility area and large downstairs wc with high level toilet and a whb. To rear of hall are stairs with hand rails on both sides leading to half landing with large window and up to galleried landing with child gate at top and bottom of stairs when required. Upstairs there is access to: Luxury master suite with windows to front and rear, super king bed, Smart TV, dressing table, full length mirror, bedside tables and lamp table, easy chair plus two seat settee which converts to additional bed if required, with doors off to spacious ensuite with floor-level shower including handrail, and separate dressing room with wardrobe space. Double bedroom with king size bed, bedside tables, dressing table and wardrobe. Twin room with two x 3’ beds, two chests and a wardrobe. Bathroom: bath with shower over with fixed rain head and hand held shower head, wc and whb. Front facing window and airing cupboard which stores additional blankets if required. The property enjoys excellent natural lighting throughout and ample artificial lighting with easy reach light switches. Floors are level downstairs and upstairs. The hall, kitchen/diner and utility room are tiled throughout as are the ensuite and bathroom upstairs. The sitting room, stairs and bedrooms have fitted carpet throughout. With the exception of an entrance mat, there are no rugs. Heating and hot water is run by LPG boiler located in utility room. There is a kitchen hob and the oven is electric. External lighting. Guide dogs welcome. Pets welcome (maximum of two) preferably confined to tiled areas of house only. There is a child gate which may be used to contain pets to kitchen/utility area. Please do not leave pets unattended in the property. If required, assistance with luggage may be arranged prior to arrival.
