Herondale is off a B-road.There is ample parking for three to four cars directly outside the front door on the gravelled car park. Enter front door over 3” step into hallway. To right is the large kitchen/diner and on through to the utility room with washing machine, tumble drier and oil boiler. The boiler can be programmed to suit guests needs. There is a separate wc and whb and the back door leads out to the lawn. To the left of the front door is the lounge with open fire, 42” flat screen TV and DVD player, both operated by remote control. A glazed sliding door leads out onto the patio with picnic table and large lawn. From the hallway, the stairs with half landing, leads to the three bedrooms. Two twin bedded rooms with whbs and a double room with ensuite shower/whb/wc. There is a separate bathroom with double width shower cubicle, bath, wc, bidet and whb. One twin bedroom has a velux window with blackout blind. The cottage is well-lit throughout with both natural and electric light and all doors are standard width. From the lawn there is a hand gate leading to a fairly steep narrow path to the lake. Guests are welcome to walk around the far side of the lake or to try their hand at carp fishing. Lake is not fenced, so children must be supervised at all times. There is no telephone in the cottage and no mobile signal (signal few hundred yards up road), but guests are welcome to use the payphone in the games room at Upper Hoaten (half a mile away at owners home) and can also access internet from there.
