Honey Hook Cottage is an idyllic place for a family holiday close to the seaside. This charming cottage has been sympathetically converted from one of the barns which adjoins the farmhouse on this stock farm; you’ll drive through rural Pembrokeshire and down a long farm track to reach this pretty home-from-home. Surrounded by fields and perfectly picturesque with acres of peaceful farmland to wonder, this is the epitome of a cosy cottage.
Step past the beautiful shrubbery to venture inside the front door where you’ll be greeted with an open-plan living space; quality leather sofas to the left centred around a stonework chimney breast and wood burning stove plus a family dining table to the right. An archway leads right through to the kitchen making cooking and dining a household affair, with no doors to navigate as you carry your feast through to the table. The accommodation throughout is spacious and very comfortable retaining some of the original features. Less than a mile away is Plumstone Welsh Bakes where you can purchase freshly made Welsh cakes along with a few select staple grocery items like bread and potatoes.
Two bedrooms accommodate five guests upstairs; one twin and one family bedroom where you’ll find a double and a single bed. As well as the small garden and patio to the front, you’ll benefit from a lawned garden and enclosed wooden gazebo with patio furniture to the rear - an ideal space for barbecues if you decide to stay again in the warmer months.
Further afield lies a multitude of beaches and activities. Nolton Haven’s golden sands are approximately 2.5 miles away whilst Broad Haven and Newgale Beaches are water sports wonderlands some 4 miles away in opposite directions. Druidston Beach is a lesser-known gem and you’ll want to make sure to sightsee on your Coastal Path walk for spectacular views of the recognisable Rickets Head. Quaint local pubs and restaurants are within easy reach across the entire western coastline lining St Brides Bay - try The Galleon Inn at Broad Haven, The Castle in Little Haven or The Hats & Barrels in Solva. Visit St Davids with its famous Cathedral, Bishops Palace and wealth of shops and restaurants are about 7 miles drive away.

What a wonderful week. Have been so fortunate with the weather, but have also thoroughly enjoyed staying at Honey Hook. Our favourite beach was a tie between Little Haven and Nolton Haven! Would recommend the Castle at Little Haven as a good family pub to eat out. Also enjoyed sea kayaking at Broad Haven, a boat trip around Skomer,a lovely walk around the headland at St Davids and much more. Thanks very much!
Thanks so much for letting us enjoy your wonderful cottage. It's the sort of place we'd both love to live on a permanent basis. The welcome pack is really thoughtful and greatly received. We bought some BBQ coals but never actually for round to having a bbq. Please use these yourselves or pass on to future guests. This has been our first visit to Pembrokeshire but certainly won't be our last! Many thanks once again.
We've had a truly lovely time here. We loved the cottage and the relaxed atmosphere. We've had fun every day. Broad Haven was a good family beach. Loved Skomer boat trip to and saw some puffins, porpoise and beautiful sea birds. Little Haven has good pubs, fish and chips on Nolton Haven beach - All good family fun. Thank you!
We had another great time in the cottage! The weather (luckily) was lovely and we had lots of fun exploring Wales and going to the beaches. We will be coming back! It was fabulous thank you!
This was our first stay at this lovely cottage and we have had a wonderful time. We know Pembrokeshire well but have loved re-visiting to the peace and quiet here. Great cottage, clean, well equipped and love the seating area at the top of the steps. See you soon!
Another lovely stay and the weather was amazing apart from the Friday. We went to Pembroke Castle. Really love it here. Defiantly come back next year!
Our visit this time coincided with St Jude's storm so there was exceptionally wild seas and strong winds. The cottage was as snug and warm as ever and we have enjoyed our visit as we always do! The welcoming gifts you left for us were lovely. Thank you so much.
Thank you for sharing your cottage - we have really enjoyed being here and exploring a new part of Pembrokeshire. We're sad to be leaving on such a sunny day but hope to be back again soon!
We enjoyed our stay in a lovely cottage. Made it more enjoyable that our great granddaughters Sophie and Millie were able to visit us. We would recommend the cottage to our friends.
We've enjoyed a lovely week at the Honey Hook. So comfy and warm. We've slept well, eaten well and toured the local area. Nice treats on arrival. Full of days out ideas and anything we've asked for has been sourced. This was our first visit to Honey Hook but it won't be out last. Great Week! Loved the log fire.
What a way to enjoy a trip to The Welsh Countryside. Honey Hook is so cosy we wouldn't have stayed anywhere else. While the weather cooperated we were able to visit old friends and sightsee (Pembroke Castle is a must!). With gale winds and hail one day we stayed in keeping warm by the log fire enjoying a movie. Loved loved loved how child friendly it is. Toys for Atticus, a star gate and a was her too. Nothing we could want for except to continue the holiday longer. Best mint chocolate ice cream at The Rising Sun!
I have spent a lovely Christmas here, it's a lovely cottage, very comfortable and the log fire was warm and Christmassy. Alison and Richard made me feel so welcome and did everything to make me comfortable and I had a lovely Christmas with the Ballard family. It was lovely that Jade and Sofia came for a sleepover with me on Christmas night. Thank you so much for making my Christmas.
Lovely cottage, nice and clean on arrival and has everything you need for a home away from home. Great sunshine weather all weekend! Enjoyed meeting the resident dog, cat, cows, sheep and birds and the farmer of course! Visited Marloes, Pembroke, Nolton, Solva, St Davids and Whitesands, off to see Haverfordwest and Llansteffan on the way home. All together a great holiday.

We had a very pleasant week. We slept like logs at night and appreciated all the facilities here in the cottage, and also the quietness. The location here was found to be very central for touring around. Weather mixed but did not bother us. Many thanks for the welcoming flowers etc. Wish we had more time to enjoy more of the woodland walk, bird table visitors and the bats.

Despite poor weather we have still had a very relaxing week. The waves at Newgale and Druidston Haven were great, especially during the rain when we still went swimming. Saw the woodpecker on the bird feeder on several occasions. The wood burning store was popular on a chilly evening.
We have had a wonderful family holiday here with our children aged 7,6 and 4- catching butterflies, woodland walks, bird watching, surfing, and staying on the beach until 7pm! Weather has been perfect, but on chilly evenings we have played games by the fire and relished each others company. We hope for many more holidays here together.
A delightful cottage, well stocked, comfortable, in a beautiful part of Wales- enhanced by the glorious sunshine we enjoyed. What a quiet spot you have!.. Thankyou for your warm welcome and making sure everything was alright for us.
