About Leeward Cottage

Leeward Cottage is a stunning detached stone cottage, beautifully renovated and extended, set right on the Cleddau estuary with amazing water views and a wonderful hot tub to enjoy. Set in the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park on a private estate, a shared mile long driveway leads steeply down to this luxury cottage and two other homes, right on the waters edge. Sloping pathways lead in at first floor level and make this ideal for wheelchair users with beautiful spacious open plan sitting/dining room with a long open galley style fitted kitchen area.

Finished to a high specification throughout and wonderfully furnished in a contemporary style with a traditional twist, with exposed beams, stone work and retained features. Cosy up on the sofa in the feature window where you can relax and soak up the sunshine and water views. French doors open from the sitting room to a paved terrace, a sheltered spot to dine alfresco. A super wet room and double bedroom lead off the living space again, with views over the estuary, while stairs lead down to the original part of the cottage with three further bedrooms finished to a wonderful standard and two bathrooms, one ensuite where you can luxuriate in roll-top baths.

The grounds are beautifully landscaped and planted with rosemary and lavender, set against a back drop of mature trees, the hot tub on the top level offers the most stunning views over this amazing secret waterway, while you soak in the relaxing bubbles.

The banks of the Cleddau estaury are ideal for keen walkers, wildlife enthusiasts and anybody who enjoys messing around on the water. The area remains largely unspoilt with sleepy villages, often with traditional pubs where you can refresh while exploring. Kayakers and fishermen will enjoy a different perspective on this beautiful area. There is a popular village pub in Cosheston itself, as well as the Milton Brewery in the neighbouring village. Nash Farm Shop nearby has a growing reputation for local produce, ideal for that summer barbecue. Ideally located, there is a choice of beautiful sandy beaches all within a short drive including Manorbier, Broadhaven South and Freshwater West. There are also a range of facilities in the historic town of Pembroke, all set against the back drop of its medieval Castle and mill pond.

Leeward Cottage is a luxurious getaway which you will just not want to leave and will give you memories to cherish.

Care needed as unfenced drops in garden and unfenced water. Stream running next to cottage.

We were blessed with the weather to enjoy this beautiful house in a peaceful idyllic location. We are well rested after what has been a difficult few months and there is no doubt the location, garden, and views have contributed to helping us. We will miss the wonderful views and the activity on the estuary.

A wonderful week in an exceptional holiday home. Perfect for a family gathering, with the river as an ever changing background. Loved Carew Castle and tidal mill - very accessible and also Picton Castle. Pub lunch in Cosheston very enjoyable with the staff helpful and going out of their way to accommodate one of our party members. Many Thanks Patsy!

Clare & Family

Thank you so much for letting us be your guinea pigs for your very special, beautiful holiday home. We are two sisters who have come away with our children, we don't get to see each other as much as we'd like to and meeting up here has been a wonderful experience involving lots of time together, playing games, eating, relaxing and of course the hot tub proved a very big success. We enjoyed Pembrokeshire Castle in spite of the drizzle, which was offset by the sheer job of choosing our own cakes in the cake shop. The stand out was Barafundle Bay which we would definitely recommend for future visitors and we were very exceptionally lucky to have the sun shine down on us.The circuclar walks left and right from the cottage were also very enjoyed, in particular the rope swing just up the hill. But the house itself has been very special for us all, thank you so much for a very special holiday. We will definitely recommend you.
