Llandyfriog will simply take your breath away! Set in a wonderful position right on the banks of the river Teifi, designated a SSSI area, next to the owner’s holiday home, just outside the bustling market town of Newcastle Emlyn offering three quarters of a mile of fishing rights with salmon pools and sea trout. A contemporary, uniquely designed, detached house, it maximises the glorious views along the river and surrounding water meadows. Finished to a very high standard throughout, step into the open-plan living space with modern quality, fitted kitchen and high ceiling sitting room, the limestone chimney breast will catch your eye, while the wood burning stove ensures a cosy feel on chillier evenings. The floor to ceiling windows with French doors makes it feel light and airy and opens to a large, decked balcony running the length of the house, the perfect spot to dine alfresco and listen to the river below you. The dual-aspect bedroom also opens to the balcony with views of the Teifi River. Spend your days wandering the nearby fields or just messing around on the river, ideal for canoeing enthusiasts, as there is direct access to launch your kayaks and canoes. The river banks teem with birds and wildlife, with regular sightings of otters. Perfect for keen fishermen who will enjoy catching salmon and sea trout. Children will enjoy the rare breed pigs, sheep, chickens and pony in the neighbouring fields. You can walk alongside the river to the market town of Newcastle Emlyn less than a mile away with its Norman Castle ruins, it offers a range of shops, pubs and antique centres to enjoy. A visit to the famous Cenarth Falls should not be missed, while the County market town of Cardigan with its farmers markets and facilities is only a 9 mile drive away. New Quay's Blue Flag Award-winning, harbour beach is popular with many visitors. It's pale sand and clear water makes a picture perfect setting for a relaxing day in the sun. Its fabulous cafe serves hot and cold drinks, light snacks and sells many of the usual beach accessories. Toilets with disabled access and a shower are available at the top of the footpath that leads down to the main beach. Ample car parking is available around the village, all are ticket machined. There is additional disabled parking available above the main beach, but get there early as it is limited. Dogs are banned between 1st May and 30th September, and dog bins are situated along the beach.
It is a traditional Pub and it dates from the 18th Century. Full of Welsh charm, it is now the happy result of a meeting of traditional and modern – a roadside inn with a recent interior remake both sympathetic and thorough. On the borders of the three counties of Pembrokeshire, Carmarthenshire and Cardigan Bay in the village of Newchapel in between Cenarth and Boncath near the market towns of Newcastle Emlyn, Cardigan and Crymych. They serve real ales, lager ,cider and have a fine selection of wines. Bar Meals from Wednesday to Saturday evenings and Sunday lunchtime (Carvery Sundays) They care for our clientele, so cater for people who require gluten free and dairy free and also have various vegetarian and vegan options on our menu.

Hammet House is a luxury county house that offers Fine dining in their Michelin listed restaurant. Food is served all day in the library bar, dining room, drawing room & outside. There beautiful restaurant & library bar is open to residents & non-residents, offering contemporary British fine dining, with dinner menu every evening from 6pm, alongside a relaxed all day house menu from 12 noon, breakfast & brunch from 8am, cocktails, organic wine list, afternoon tea, coffees, cakes & nibbles. Cardigan River and Food Festival is an annual event which strives to showcase the fantastic local produce available in Wales with demonstrations, entertainment and activities. Of course - there will be ample opportunities to see and taste some of that local produce on offer!
