Penmor is a spacious bungalow situated on the edge of the historic village of Newport. It is located on a small quiet lane, 10 - 15 minutes’ walk to the centre of the village and 5 mins to the local beach & coves where you can join the Pembrokeshire coastal path, a perfect place to start exploring this beautiful coastline.
Refurbished throughout in 2019 by the new owners to 4 star standards. The large picture window frames a magnificent view of Newport Bay. The wide tiled hallway leads to a light and spacious sitting/dining room, perfect to relax & enjoy family meals while taking in the glorious sea view of Newport Bay or step out the patio doors to dine alfresco. Alternatively, sink into one of the new sofas and relax as you gaze across the bay. The well-equipped kitchen leads to a sunroom/utility area and another access to the raised patio and enclosed garden.
There are two king sized bedrooms plus a twin bedroom, all with inviting white Egyptian cotton bed linen and sprung mattresses with memory foam toppers. Designed to provide a good night’s sleep after partaking in all the activities Newport and the surrounding area has to offer.
The newly refurbished bathroom has a full size bath and electric shower above plus there is a separate additional shower room with wc and basin.
The bustling town of Newport is an easy walk away with its range of shops, pubs, cafes, restaurants and galleries to try. Leave your car behind and spend your days on the beautiful Newport Sands beach and where the river Nevern reaches the sea, the area teams in bird and wildlife.
Beautiful walks abound, the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path takes you via a number of hidden beautiful coves including, Cwm yr Eglwys, Pwllgwaelod and Aberfforest and around Dinas Head. Catch the Poppit Rocket bus for the return journey. Alternatively, take to the mountain footpaths up Carn Ingli (mountain of angels) and onto the Preseli hills, the views are well worth it.

The property is a bungalow. There is a 7-inch step-up at the entrance door followed by a 3-inch metal threshold around the front door.Inside, there are no steps or thresholds greater than 1-inch in height.Door widths are in the 27-29 inch range depending on door jam design. In the main bathroom, access to bath and lavatory is restricted by a 17-inch gap between washbasin and wall. The small lavatory is restricted as there is tight space around the washbasin.A separate shower room has a glass door and outer door, with a 3-inch high shower tray. From the kitchen there is a three-inch gradual gradient down into the conservatory. From the conservatory to the outside (back of house), there is an 8-inch step to the outside crazy paving.
We have been regular visitors to Penmor and Newport for many years. We have loved coming here as we have always felt at home. The view is amazing and the bungalow lends itself particularly well if you have a dog with you. Have often thought that Penmor has needed some TLC and how lovely to see the change you have made since our last visit in December - the bathroom in particular but everywhere is lovely and tastefully re-furbished. Lots of nice little touches and thanks so much for the milk. We have had another lovely week, enjoying some fine weather and walks around the estuary. Look forward to coming back later in the year
Thank you so much for providing such a beautiful house that is matched only by the beauty of the surroundings. We have loved discovering the beautiful but wild landscape. Climbing Carn Ingli was the most wonderful, windy experience. The Kids were totally in their element on the expanse of Newport Sands....it really is a special place and we are determined to come back! The lovely house has been so comfortable to return to after a day of walking and adventures - warm, cosy and we have slept so soundly every night - total peace and solitude.
