Primrose Cottage is a detached traditional stone cottage that has been extended to a deceptively spacious holiday home in the village of Pen y Cwm, just above Newgale beach on the road to the tiny city of St Davids.
This charming cottage enjoys the most beautiful views of the coast and out to sea over St Brides Bay. Comfortably furnished to a high standard, enjoy relaxing in the second sitting room, where you can gaze over the fields and out to sea, French doors open to the sunny conservatory; soak up the wonderful aspect whatever the weather. This opens to the enclosed, split-level lawned garden with a paved terrace where you can enjoy an alfresco meal on a summer’s evening. The well-appointed traditional farmhouse-style kitchen has two steps which lead into the original part of the cottage with a further bedroom and shower room, the cosy lounge/diner here has a more traditional feel with exposed stonework, A-frame beams and large inglenook, enjoy cosying up round the wood burning stove on chillier evenings.
A gate from the garden leads directly onto a National Trust footpath taking you to a pretty secluded beach with sand and rock pools, at low tide you can walk round to the glorious Newgale beach popular with surfers. Alternatively, join the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path to explore this stunning coastline. In Newgale itself there is a beachside cafe, pub and water sports hire shop, so you can try your hand at a new sport all within walking distance. A 10 minute drive will take you to the picturesque harbour village of Solva with its selection of pubs, restaurants, shops and galleries to explore. While St Davids lies a little further on, its beautiful Cathedral and ruined Bishops Palace is well worth a visit and its pubs, shops and restaurants are highly recommended. To the east is Nolton beach, a horse ride on the beach will sure to be a highlight of any holiday, as well as visits to the seaside villages of Broad Haven and Little Haven.
