About Pwll Cottage
Pwll Cottage is a super detached stone cottage enjoying a wonderful secluded spot tucked away down a single track lane in the village of Marros, surrounded by its own extensive grounds in rolling countryside, yet only a one-mile walk from the coast path above Marros Sands and 3 miles from the sandy beach at Amroth.
This pretty cottage is comfortably furnished, the useful porch leads through into the cosy sitting room - a perfect spot to relax. The kitchen/diner, with its quarry tiled floor and wood burning stove, is well-equipped and ideal for preparing family meals. There is a ground floor bathroom, while the stairs lead up to the first floor where there is a further shower room and 3 bedrooms nestling in the eaves. The family bedroom offers versatility, as the king-size bed is zip and link and can be separated to give two single beds.
The adjoining games room is sure to be a firm favourite with both adults and children alike, with its wood burner and great range of activities, ideal for rainy days or winter evenings. The enclosed landscaped and planted garden with its mature trees and large lawn is a relaxing spot to enjoy an alfresco meal or glass of wine while you listen to the birdsong; bird and wildlife enthusiasts will be in their element.
Perfect for keen walkers, the area abounds in footpaths and bridleways; from the garden you can head to the coast path above Marros Sands just a mile away, from which point you can continue your walk down the steep track to Marros Sands. Alternatively, you can join the Carmarthenshire Coastal Path to explore this rugged coastline to the east or head west and join the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path at Amroth, just 3 miles away, where there are a choice of seafront pubs, cafes and restaurants. Further west lie the popular seaside towns of Saundersfoot and Tenby. To the east lie Pendine, with its 7 miles of glorious sandy beach, location of historic land speed records, and Laugharne, home of Dylan Thomas, is well worth a visit. The nearest pub, The Green Bridge Inn, is just 1 mile away.

Ground Floor: Glazed porch, kitchen/diner, sitting room, bathroom/overhead shower/shower attachment/whb/wc. Games room in adjoining converted barn.
First Floor: Narrow stairs lead to first floor shower room/walk-in shower/whb/wc, double room, single room (the bed is generally only suitable for children under 10 as the mattress is only 6 feet long, ie 3 inches shorter than standard), family room with single bed plus king size bed (zip and link can be made into two 2ft 9 inch single beds).
Parking: Ample on driveway.
Facilities: Games room: table tennis, dart board, table football, outdoor games. Electric cooker/ceramic hob, dishwasher, fridge, microwave. In adjoining barn – fridge/freezer, washing machine, tumble dryer. TV, DVD player, WiFi (150mbps), towels, TVs in 2 of the bedrooms. Garden furniture, barbecue.
Pets: 1 - £15 per pet per week/short break
Pet Notes: 1 well-behaved dog, but care needed as there may be livestock in neighbouring fields. Second dog by arrangement.

This Access Statement has been prepared by the owner for your information; it is the most recent version that we have received. This statement has been prepared as objectively as possible, however with such a wide remit oversights may be made.

There is a sloping gravel parking area. There are several sleeper steps, with no handrail, from the parking area down to the cottage patio. There is a step up at the entrance to the cottage porch and a step down from the porch into hallway area. There are steep, narrow cottage stairs to the first floor; the first three steps are open tread, with a hand rail on the right hand side only. There is a right angle turn to conventional closed tread stairs up to the landing, with a hand rail on the right hand side only. The downstairs shower is over the bath. The first floor shower cubicle has no step. The games room is accessed via a sloping gravel path from the cottage patio to a separate entrance door with no step on entry. There is a level area of lawn outside the front of the cottage but some of the lawned areas are sloped.

We had the most wonderful stay at the cottage over New Year! We even had a couple of sunny days at the beach and a few icy swims. Can’t wait to come back.

Wonderful, peaceful and comfortable cottage (not enough adjectives to do it justice!). Stunning gardens, great walks, lovely scenery, amazing sights (we loved Pembroke Castle). A superb week!
