Rock House is a picture postcard, traditional detached stone cottage dating back to the 1700’s that has been lovingly and painstakingly restored using original craftsmanship. Set right in the heart of the village of Herbrandston, there is a popular village pub and post office within walking distance while the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path is a mile away taking you to Sandy Haven your closest beach.
Beautifully finished and stylishly furnished to a high standard throughout, in keeping with the character it has slate floors, lime rendered walls and A-frame beams. Step into the comfortable sitting room with dining table, the wood burning stove ensures a cosy feel even on the chilliest of evenings. There are 2 small bedrooms off, the double is a delightful romantic retreat, while 2 steps each lead down to the cleverly designed, compact bespoke fitted kitchen and bathroom.
Enjoy a glass of wine on the bench in front of the cottage while you watch village life come and go.
Spend your days exploring the Coastal Path and this stunning coastline, the path crosses the beach at Sandy Haven via a footbridge only accessible at low tide otherwise take the longer route round Sandy Haven Pill. Further along the coast lies Lindsway Beach and the village of St Ishmaels, which also has a village pub. Dale, popular with water sport enthusiasts because of its sheltered position is nearby and has a waterside pub, The Griffin, a Yacht Club and water sports hire centre. There are some excellent beaches to choose from including Marloes Sands and West Dale Beach. A boat trip from Martin’s Haven to Skomer Island should not be missed, particularly when the Puffins have arrived. The picturesque cove of Little Haven with its pubs, restaurants and galleries is only a 10-minute drive away.
A wonderful holiday cottage for a couple or small family to enjoy, whatever the season.

The house is approached via main A-road. Parking is on entrance side of cottage, away from the main road, with parking for one car or two small cars in a row. Space must be left for cars wishing to park at neighbouring cottage (at right angles to Rock House), as space is shared. Parking is also possible on roadside with a short walk around the cottage to the front door. Entrance door reached by two steps, (one 10 cm and the other 12.5 cm) and door frame of 6 cm. There are no other entrances or exits. Small garden area around 3 sides of cottage. Bench to front of property. All accessible areas of the property are situated on the ground floor. Two bedrooms, living / dining room, kitchen and bathroom, with shower over bath/whb/wc. Access to crog loft is for owner’s storage only. Kitchen and bathroom both have 2 steps leading down from living / dining room. Bedrooms are on same level as living/dining room. Floor throughout is good contrast to walls, but internal doors are of a similar colour. Well-lit sitting room (natural and artificial lighting). Kitchen has low-level oven with grill and microwave at worktop level. Bedrooms are small; however, living room does have a sofa bed. Outside light, switched from inside main entrance door. No telephone. A public call box is located approximately 100 metres away. TV and DVD/Games Console with remote control. Guide dogs welcome. Public Transport (local bus service) sheltered bus stop directly opposite the property.
Thank you so much for giving us the beautiful privilege of staying in this cosy cottage. The design of the cottage is modern but it also has traditional structure too. We loved the log fire and it was so cosy in the evenings with a cup of hot chocolate. Thanks.
