Known to be one of the best days out in West Wales, Oakwood has a range of rides and attractions for all the family. Be brave and feel the adrenaline buzz on rides such as Megaphobia, Speed and Vertigo or get went on Hydro! Circus Land and Mini Golf are perfect for the little ones. If spooky is your thing, you're definitely in for a treat with Spooky 3D. Head to the newest attraction at the park, Neverland where you can visit Skull Rock, the Jolly Roger and Tink's Flying School, or go on a Neverland Chase, a Crocodile Coaster or even a Lost Boys Adventure! Make sure to keep updated with Special Events they offer throughout the year, such as their Oakwood After Dark where the park stays open til late, all the rides are illuminated and they put on a fantastic firework display!
Please Note: Dogs are not permitted into the park, but there are free holding kennels available on a first come first served basis. They do ask for a refundable £5 deposit, and advise you bring along a bed/blanket plus a bowl and water. You are allowed to leave the park as many times as you wish to check on your dog.
Saundersfoot’s large golden beach is a blue flag award winner and provides a perfect coastal escape for a wonderful family day out.
This picturesque beach is partially framed by the impressive cliff side and also the stone harbour walls. Fantastic for swimming, water sports and sunbathing, this sandy stretch also benefits from toilet facilities, cafes, pubs and shops all close by
The main section of the beach has a dog ban from May to September, although if you have a dog with you, you can head along The Strand until you reach the tunnel, the dog ban is lifted from this stretch of the beach onwards.
Pendine Sands is a 7-mile long, straight beach, smoothered in the most beautiful sand and edged by a belt of dunes. From the beach there are clear views across Carmarthen Bay to Gower and Tenby.
In the summer of 2000, Don Wales made history on this beach, by breaking the Uk electric land speed record in his vehicle, reaching a staggering 137mph.
Please note that it is always worth checking to see if the MOD are using the area for firing practice, around the time of your proposed visit. If they are, then red flags will be raised and part of the beach will be closed to the public (although the firing itself is a good distance away).

Tenby's Tudor Square marks the start of the Annual Pancake Race, a 60 metre dash through the streets of Tenby in support of the Tenby RNLI. Entry to the pancake race costs £3 per person, whilst the two course pancake dinner costs £12 per person with £6 going towards the Tenby RNLI. There will also be a raffle taking place at the dinner. A firm favourite with our regular visitors, Picton Castle's Easter Egg Trail for children is a self-guided scamper through fabulous woodlands as they burst into bloom. Collect your leaflet at the Ticket Office and follow the trail – you will find clues along the way! When you have finished, pop into the Gift Shop to collect your prize. It's a great way for the whole family to enjoy the woodlands as masses of Rhododendrons, Azaleas and Magnolias come into flower. While the kids rush around in search of clues, the ‘grown-ups' can enjoy the magnificent colours and scents. After the walk, what better reward than a nice warming cup of hot chocolate with cream and a homemade cake in the Courtyard Restaurant, or perhaps make it a lunchtime visit and enjoy the Spanish dish of the day with a glass of wine or beer! Day three of the MKF ( Midlands Kite Fliers) Rendezvous with a day flying at Hilton Court Gardens and Crafts, Roch, Pembrokeshire with its stunning coastal views overlooking St Brides Bay.
The Preseli Beast is an off-road racing event, still a relatively new event as it is only in its fifth year now. Approximately 24 miles off road, this race takes in a route through wooded valleys, trails and paths taking in scenery across the Gwaun Valley and Newport Bay. Opt for a smaller race with the Beast Bach, an 11 mile off-road race, or rise to the challenge of the Ultrabeast - a 32 mile off-road race! The start and finish are in Maenclochog, with the Ultrabeast kicking off first at 9am.

The triathlon with a difference is back once again! Spread across the three days, the Wales Swim takes place on the Friday night on Tenby North Beach, the Sportive on the Saturday and the Marathon on the Sunday. Athletes can opt for just one event or all three meaning everyone who wants to can get involved! Children can even get involved on the Friday in the Taff Kids event! It really is a great event with an exciting atmosphere, athletes and supporters are encouraged to get involved for the whole weekend!
Once again, Carmarthen hosts their annual River Festival! Due to be an action-packed afternoon, this year's River Festival will host various demonstrations and river-based activities including raft races, as well as dryside fun and even a zip wire!
Head to the Gwili Steam Railway near Carmarthen on the 16th July when they will be hosting their annual display of classic cars. Vehicles on display will include classic cars, motorcycles, buses, steam locomotives, commercial vehicles and agricultural vehicles. You can also visit their 1910 fully restored working signal box, ride the heritage steam train as many times as you wish and tour the fully restored 1950s travelling post office. Light refreshments are available all day, and there is also a picnic area for you to take advantage of.
Pembrokeshire's County Show returns for another year! This annual event brings thousands of people to the Haverfordwest Showground each year. With a variety of crafts and stalls, there is also displays, exhibitions and performances to see! There is a whole host of agricultural machinery on display as well as livestock to see, a fair, and a number of horse and dog shows. Of course there is also plenty of opportunities to meet and greet with local businesses, as well as sampling some great local produce on offer in the food hall!

Saundersfoot's newest triathlon is back for it's second year in 2017! Running the day before Ironman Wales, this triathlon is a sprint triathlon with a 750m sea swim, a 20km bike ride and a 5km run. The event is open to adults and children aged 14 and over.
Ironman Wales returns to Tenby once again in 2017! This incredible event brings a whole number of athletes and supporters to the streets of Tenby and the surrounding Pembrokeshire villages for the weekend. The 2.4 mile swim kicks off the event first thing in the morning, before the 112 mile cycle takes place, before athletes complete the course with a 26 mile marathon. Whether you're an athlete or a supporter, the atmosphere in Tenby is like nothing else in the world - definitely a recommended event to attend!

Fishguard once again welcomes you to it's Annual New Year's Eve Street Party! With celebrations, live music and fireworks - it really is a fantastic party to celebrate the coming of the New Year! Refreshments are available on the street and in the surrounding pubs and restaurants. This event is free entry, donations are appreciated as any money given is then put towards next year's celebrations.
Caldey Island is one of Britain's holy islands. The Cistercian monks of Caldey continue a tradition which began there in Celtic times. More than a thousand years of prayer and quiet living have made this remote and beautiful island a haven of tranquillity and peace. The monks and islanders of Caldey are pleased to welcome day-visitors to share the delights of their island home throughout the summer season. You can explore the historic Old Priory and the medieval churches or join the free guided walk for a closer look at the island's heritage. You may like to drop in at the Video Centre to find out more about life in the Monastery. Visitors are also welcome to attend the one of the short chanted services in the Abbey Church, which form part of the daily prayer life of the monks.
A walk up to the Lighthouse opens up spectacular panoramic views of the Pembrokeshire Coast, Tenby and the Preseli Hills, the Gower Peninsula and Lundy Island. In the village you can buy the perfumes, chocolate and shortbread made on the island. The Village Post Office is also a museum giving an interesting insight into Caldey's history. Postcards and special covers are franked with the Caldey Island handstamp. A fleet of boats runs to the island from Tenby Harbour from Easter to October. These boats, which are licensed and strictly supervised by the Marine Coastguard Agency, are owned by local boatmen, many of whom are members of the crew of the Tenby Lifeboat. Please note: Crossing time is about 20 minutes and all trips are weather permitted.

Tenby Museum is in a superb location atop Castle Hill, overlooking Caldey Island and Carmarthen Bay. The museum itself is home to a number of displays and exhibits including a maritime display, a Roald Dahl exhibit and a WWI exhibition. A really popular attraction is The Story of Tenby gallery where you can learn all about the local history of the seaside town. There are interactive activities and audio visual displays to keep the little ones entertained during your visit. Also making home inside Tenby museum is a library and archive, both of which store information on local history and natural history as well as many items which link back to the area. Inside the Museum is two art galleries which host a programme of changing works and exhibitions. Pay a visit to the shop where you will be able to purchase unique gifts and prints. or enjoy a trip to the coffee shop for a refreshing hot drink with a beautiful view.
Built in timber around 1100 by Gerald of Windsor, this now-ruined stone castle is a very popular historic attraction. The walk around the Castle and Tidal Mill is particularly popular with dog owners. The walk is a great free attraction, however there are admission charges upon entry to the castle. Carew Castle often hosts special events throughout the year, see their website for more information.
Please Note: Well behaved dogs are welcome inside the castle providing they are kept on a short lead.

First Calss bungalow - well laid out and felt like home. Nice beaches, Manor house was great, the pub at Pendine 'The Spring Well' serves superb home cooked and affordable food. Tenby is well worth a visit and would really recommend a boat trip to Caldey Island - you can spend a whole day, take your swim suit for a perfect day on the quiet sandy beach! Had a really relaxing holiday, Thank you!
An Excellent, well equipped house. Colby Woodland Gardens are excellent. Amroth beach is only 3 miles away - 7 minutes in the car. Very quiet plenty to see and do - we will return!
