Set back down its own drive in the village of Roch, it is less than 2 miles from the popular Newgale beach. Furnished in a contemporary style in bold seaside colours, it is beautifully decorated. The modern well-fitted and equipped kitchen opens to the dining room, perfect for leisurely family meals together. French doors open to a paved terrace with steps down to a large enclosed lawn, ideal to enjoy an alfresco meal on a summer’s evening and for children to play. Many of the spacious bedrooms also offer sea views.
Tucked away on the edge of the village of Roch there is a well-stocked shop and local pub within easy walking distance, while the beautiful sandy beach of Newgale, popular with surfers is less than 2 miles away, spend your days on the beach with its water sports hire shop then refresh at the pub or try one of the 2 cafes located on the beach. Join the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path to really explore this stunning coastline on foot. A horse ride on the beach from Nolton with its pretty cove should not be missed. The picturesque harbour village of Solva is nearby enjoy sampling its pubs, restaurants or wander its galleries and antique shops or a little further on lies the tiny city of St David’s with its excellent facilities and historic Cathedral and Bishops Palace. In the other direction lies more excellent beaches to try including the long, sandy beach at Broad Haven and the sheltered cove of Little Haven.

The Man Up In The Mud run is a great mud run approximately 4.5 miles in distance. Following a great coastal route, the course promises to be boggy and muddy with obstacles to climb over and under!
The Preseli Beast is an off-road racing event, still a relatively new event as it is only in its fifth year now. Approximately 24 miles off road, this race takes in a route through wooded valleys, trails and paths taking in scenery across the Gwaun Valley and Newport Bay. Opt for a smaller race with the Beast Bach, an 11 mile off-road race, or rise to the challenge of the Ultrabeast - a 32 mile off-road race! The start and finish are in Maenclochog, with the Ultrabeast kicking off first at 9am.
This Charity Horse and Dog Show is an annual event which occurs in May each year in St. David's. With show jumping, dog shows, stalls and refreshments, this is a great day out for all those interested in horses and dogs!

Running from the event headquarters at Oriel Y Parc in St. David's, this event sees approximately 1500 cyclists take part in the sportive tour of Pembrokeshire. The St Davids Cathedral Festival takes place across ten days with a range of classical and contemporary musical performances taking place in the beautiful setting of St Davids Cathedral. The annual 'Pirates and Smugglers Walk' takes place in Fishguard on Sunday morning, on the weekend of the town Folk Festival. This is a popular event which has been running for over 10 years. It Starts in the main square and proceeds through the old town quarter to the lower town harbour and to the Fort (1.5 miles) The walk calls at several historical sites as well as music events and pubs! This ultra marathon is approximately 66.6 miles in distance, with approximately 40 miles of the course running along the coastal path with the remainder along the road. In 2016, only 6 people managed to complete and receive their finisher's medal so you can imagine the difficulty level of this challenge! The course runs through coastal locations such as Solva, Porthclais, St Justinians, Whitesands, Abereiddy and Abermawr, guaranteeing a really memorable course. Due to the nature of the course, cut off is at 20 hours with 5 check points and all participants will be required to bring along a full kit of the following items: Head Torch, Space Blanket, Whistle, Mobile Phone, Map (Supplied), Water, Energy Food, Hat, Gloves, Waterproof Clothing, Sun Cream. A festival celebrating everything military at Carew Airfirld at Carew Cheriton control Tower. Featuring many exhibits including a Real Spitfure, vintage military vehicles, classic cars, the emergency services, military bands, fairground rides, craft workshops and face painting for the children. he highlight of the event will be the RAF Falcons Parachute Display Team, who jump on the Saturday afternoon, with the Red Devils, Army Parachute Regiment flying in on Sunday afternoon. Pembrokeshire's County Show returns for another year! This annual event brings thousands of people to the Haverfordwest Showground each year. With a variety of crafts and stalls, there is also displays, exhibitions and performances to see! There is a whole host of agricultural machinery on display as well as livestock to see, a fair, and a number of horse and dog shows. Of course there is also plenty of opportunities to meet and greet with local businesses, as well as sampling some great local produce on offer in the food hall!

Saundersfoot's newest triathlon is back for it's second year in 2017! Running the day before Ironman Wales, this triathlon is a sprint triathlon with a 750m sea swim, a 20km bike ride and a 5km run. The event is open to adults and children aged 14 and over.
The West Wales Wool Show in Narberth is a celebration of all things woolly. From beautifully hand crafted items, clothing and footwear to knitting wool, fleece and all the equipment needed to make at home. Demonstrations run throughout the day with stall holders sharing their skills and knowledge with visitors plus wool skill workshops such as felting. The main aim of the show is to support local wool producers and small craft businesses. Wool as a renewable resource is still undervalued and the show aims to bring this wonderful natural resource back into focus. The show is run by the Pembrokeshire Guild of Weavers, Spinners and Dyers with support from PLANED.
Fishguard’s Autumn Festival will be holding a ‘Family fun and Fireworks’ on Goodwick seafront. Pembrokeshire Firespinners will be at the event this year as well as many other fun activities.
Come along to Trewern Arms for Fireworks and to celebrate Bonfire night. Enter into the Best-dressed Guy Fawkes' competition. Enjoy a glass of something warming and a pork roll before the fireworks display later on that evening.

had a great week with the family. a great house for 10 people although the weather wasn't great we had a great time and the Blue lagoon was great. the views are amazing and the house is well equipped.
Third visit here and as always a delight to walk through the door.Has been re- decorated since last visit to a very high standard. lovely to have clean fresh towels which we didn't have before . We have no negative comments whatsoever, and our grandchildren are very happy to stay here, they love 'Scooby' Thank you.
Our 3rd year at Skomer View We are a large family with 4 small children, and as ever we find the house the perfect place to spend a together family holiday. We have had a really good holiday and have as always, enjoyed the beaches , Coastal scenery etc., The children have had lots of interesting things to see and do. Wine Chocolate milk and biscuits, a lovely thought thankyou! lovely well decorated and tastful house , very child friendly with good quality kiddie equipment, cots high chair etc. very useful not to have to cart all that with you. Excellent family living room with lots of table space , plenty of room for toddlers to run about and very useful to have two loungers, magnificent view from upstairs.
This is our second year at Skomer view, Its a great house admirably suited to holidays with young families, and wonderfuly located for the beaches and other attractions. It is very well appointed, spacious, and with a nice garden where young can play in safty. We would love to come again!

Had a super time here in this very well equipped holiday house which easily coped with 6 adults and 6 children, we felt we had plenty of space. The surrounding countryside and beaches were great.
Had a great time here at Skomer View, felt at home and very relaxed. Ideally situated for beaches, towns and coastal path 'Walking in Pembrokeshire' books very useful, did 2 of the circular walks, hope to do more in the future. The weather was great except for one day. Hope it's as good for you! The house is superb and cant find fault.
