Sloop Inn Cottage is a traditional stone cottage, the first in a line of three set just a few yards from the water and beach of Sandy Haven Pill in the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park. Designed by award winning local architects, David Haward Associates, it has a real wow factor and is finished to high standard throughout with a contemporary feel, while retaining an old-style charm.
3 steps up and 6 steps down lead to the front door and into the hallway of this upside-down house with welcoming bedrooms on the ground floor. Comfortably furnished throughout with a wonderful mix of modern and antique pieces, featuring beams and solid wood and limestone/slate floors. Stairs lead up to the galleried spacious open-plan living space with super A-frame beams. There is a modern, well-equipped fitted kitchen with large dining table where you can enjoy family meals together; there is a wood burning stove in the sitting room to add atmosphere and provide a really cosy feel even on the chilliest of evenings. French doors open to a small paved terrace, from here steep metal and concrete steps (care needed) lead up to a raised viewing platform from which you can listen to the wind whispering in the mature trees and catch glimpses of the beach and water at high tide through the leaves.
With this sheltered waterway and tidal beach on your doorstep, spend your days just messing around on the water; sailing and kayaking enthusiasts will be in their element. A footbridge, only accessible for a couple of hours either side of low tide, takes you to Sandy Haven beach across the water. The area is teeming in bird and wildlife. Keen walkers can join the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path that runs past your door and explore over the cliffs to Lindsway Beach just a mile away. There is a choice of fantastic beaches to explore including Marloes Sands, Musslewick and West Dale. From the village of Marloes, head to Martin’s Haven the embarkation point for boats to Skomer Island, a trip to see the puffins should not be missed. Dale’s sheltered harbour means it is a favourite spot for keen sailors and with its water sports hire centre it is ideal for beginners or for trying your hand at a new pastime. The Griffin Inn on the sea front was voted in 2016 best seafood establishment in Britain and is well worth a visit.

A fantastic week in a beautiful place, lots of coastal walks and beach explorations the coastal loops in the folder are perfect for younger children. If you are here you should definitely book a trip to Skomer Island. One of the most amazing places in the world. Loved Sloop inn cottage
A lovely weekend at a beautiful cottage. A very scenic coastal path just behind the cottage which leads you across the coves. Had a lovely Ice cream after going on the Skomer island puffin trip- a must do here! Lobster and Mor do a great Lobster roll by the beach at Little Haven! Thanks so much for a little slice of peaceful heaven
Had a great time here at the wonderful Sloop Inn cottage. Fabulous coastal walks and a pit stop at the old point house inn in Angle where we visit evert=y year, amazing fresh seafood! Sorry we didn't book for 10 days, a little longer here would have been perfect. We hope to come back here very soon.
A wonderful house in a fantastic location! Myself, husband, son (15), daughter (11) and my parents had a great time exploring the area. It was always lovely coming back to Sloop Inn for cosy evenings. We enjoyed meals and watched films and played games. We even managed to complete the 1000 piece puzzle that was on the shelf, it was a family effort!
My (new) wife & I have had the most amazing time in the cottage. The perfect place to unwind & relax following the wedding. We've done some lovely beach walks & snuck a pint at the brook inn in St Ishmaels. Thank you for having us.
Thank you for letting us experience your beautiful home and embrace a completely different lifestyle to ours in London. Being free of phone reception is liberating! Our three year old didn’t manage to catch any crabs this time, but hopefully we’ll be back to try again in the future!
Sloop Inn Cottage is more than just a holiday let, we had a wonderful and peaceful stay enjoyed the walks and the numerous beaches!
We had a great week here. The holiday cottage was perfect. Well equipped, very clean, great location, weather was mixed but there was plenty to do! Great walks around Marloes, Bosherston and along the Coastal Path to St Ishmaels. Not enough time to do all we wanted. Thanks very much for making this a great holiday. The Oliver Family

Thank you for such a fantastic week- we have loved staying in this gorgeous cottage. To be able to paddle board and go for wonderful walks from the door step has been great, not to mention the crabbing. The crabs were very patient with us!
