About Strawberry Gardens House

Strawberry Gardens House is a delightful, spacious, detached house with the most charming sea views, set on a quiet cul-de-sac in the coastal village of Penally. There is a small separate apartment below, Garden Flat sleeping 2 which some parties may choose to book as well.

Refurbished and furnished in a contemporary seaside style, the large windows maximise the wonderful views from its elevated position and ensure a light and airy feel. The fitted kitchen arches through to the dining room with lovely views over the dunes towards Caldey Island and Carmarthen Bay; this room leads through to a spacious sitting room perfect for the whole family to relax. Both the sitting and dining room have sliding doors to a balcony, sit on a summer’s evening and enjoy a glass of wine while you soak up the view. Stairs lead up to the spacious bedrooms above all with lovely aspects.

The large garden is terraced with narrow stone steps leading down to a gravel terrace ideal for dining alfresco with a further flight of stone steps down to a large hedged lawn, a sheltered spot giving plenty of space for children to play or enjoy the use of the shared sun room.

Conveniently located, there is a village shop, pub and restaurant Penally Abbey within walking distance in Penally itself, while a 10 minute downhill walk takes you to Tenby South Beach, a wonderful golden sandy beach popular with families and surfers both amateur and professional water sport enthusiasts alike. Join the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path to explore this stunning section of coastline with its hidden coves and sandy beaches. Lydstep and Manorbier lie to the West or Saundersfoot, Wiseman’s Bridge and Amroth to the east. The pretty medieval walled town of Tenby is only a short drive away with its excellent range of facilities and cobbled streets to wander or from the picturesque harbour, take a fishing trip out to sea or a boat trip to the island of Caldey, home of the Cistercian monks or just spend your days on the beach, there are 4 to choose from. There are a wealth of family attractions all within a short drive including Manor House Wildlife Park, Heatherton World of Activities and Folly Farm, as well as several golf courses to try.

Approached by steep narrow lane approx. 100m. Parking for one car on sloping drive parking for any other cars on kerbside adjacent to the property. Main entrance to house via a single step. Main living area on ground floor has sitting room, kitchen and dining room with access to the balcony via 2 sliding patio doors with a small lip over. Three bedrooms on first floor accessed by a single flight of 13 steps. Both showers are walk in with a small step. The garden is on two levels. The terrace is accessed via 9 crazy paved steps to a crazy paved patio and gravelled area where the garden furniture is situated. Further access to the lawned area is via 14 crazy paved wide steps. Public transport is in Penally near the Cross Inn and the railway station is approx. 250m across the main road. If renting both the Strawberry Gardens House and Garden Flat access is linked via an internal staircase of 13 steps.
