About Sunnybank

Sunnybank is a wonderful, detached house, set on the edge of the seaside village of Manorbier; all its excellent facilities, well-stocked village shop, pub, cafe and restaurant are within walking distance, as is its beautiful sandy beach and picturesque medieval Castle which is well worth a visit. Deceptively spacious, the high ceilings and large windows give it a light airy feel. Finished to a high standard throughout with excellent facilities it is comfortably furnished, the cottage-style fitted kitchen with useful breakfast area leads through to a spacious lounge/diner. Wide stairs take you to the first floor bedrooms nestling in the eaves with original beams, while the double room on the ground floor is light and spacious. The large, sheltered, rear lawned garden is enclosed and beautifully planted with mature shrubs and flowers, while the paved terrace is a real sun trap, where you can enjoy an alfresco meal on a summer’s evening.

With everything within walking distance, you can leave the car behind for your stay. There is a bus stop on your door step that will take you to the popular town of Tenby with its cobbled streets, range of facilities and picturesque harbour, or in the opposite direction lies the medieval town of Pembroke with its majestic Castle. You can even travel down by train with a station at nearby Manorbier Newton. If you can tear yourself away from Manorbier beach, popular with surfing enthusiasts, join the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path and explore this stunning coastline with its many sandy bays; Freshwater East, Lydstep and Tenby South beach are well worth a visit, as well as a wealth of family attractions within a short drive such as Heatherton World of Activities, Folly Farm and Oakwood Theme Park; there are even several good golf courses to try.

A wonderful holiday home, which you will just not want to leave.

Mr & Mrs Whittney

A very comfortable cottage. We have had a lovely restful break. Thank you for the wine and the chocolates.

Spring definitely in the air! Warm days, including meals outside. The garden is looking beautiful there. We ate at Coast in Saundersfoot for a treat. First time for the girls (we have let the cat out of the bag now!) Spent a glorious good Friday afternoon out and about on one of the local beaches.

The Healeys

I have holidayed in this part of the world since I was a baby and have returned many times over the years and this is by far the best holiday home we have had the pleasure of staying at! Fantastically equipped in a faultless location (I wish it was mine) within easy access of everything and it always helps when the sun shines, and it shone every day, when it shines here the area is glorious, without equal! All I can say for those who may not know the area, is to get out there and explore: the coastal path, the village, pubs and tea rooms, the beaches, Tenby, Saundersfoot. You won’t be disappointed! Superb area, superb holiday home!

The Casey's

Nice cottage, lovely area.

A fantastic few days - very lucky with the weather. Love the walk to Freshwater East 1 1/2 hours there, beautiful scenic walk. Started raining now so time to go, loved my stay.

Sue, Anita + Ellie the dog

Gorgeous house in a gorgeous location and we had the weather which is a bonus at this time of the year. Ellie enjoyed the beaches at Manorbier. Freshwater East & Freshwater West and the walk around the Lilly Ponds at Bosherston. Had a few trips down the road to the Beach Break Cafe, very good food (especially the jam + cream scones) Eliie's going home for a rest, hope to come back again!

Pat, Eddie, Kay & Bobby

Very nice cottage, plenty of everything. We had nice weather, baby enjoyed himself in the garden playing football. We would come again in the future.

Diane, Paul, David & Teresa

Came down to celebrate a joint 60th Birthday, lovely house and gardens. Weather mixed but typically changing today when all leaving. See you all in the future. Thanks.

What fabulous accommodation! The garden is superb, so peaceful. Can't say we notices any traffic noise. The house is extremely comfortable and is really well equipped. We had a fantastic stay for 2 weeks. Apart from a stormy night on the Friday night & a monsoon on Monday, the weather has been great. There is so much to do in the area. Manorbier beach is beautiful. The castle is well worth a look & is very well maintained. Folly farm and adventure park zoo, fantastic day for the children of all ages & very reasonably priced. there's the dinosaur park and the zoo which we'll have to leave for our next visit! The steam railway is fun. The Pottery is well worth a visit. So thank you for opening up your house for rent!

A nice quiet week, lovely house with great attention to detail. We've loved our stay here. The village is lovely and and we loved Manorbier beach. Could have done with another week! Really sad to be leaving this fantastic house. We've had a great time and would love to come back, thank you for a lovely visit.

We are very sad to be leaving the lovely cottage after 2 fantastic weeks! We did lots of surfing at Manorbier beach and freshwater West Beach . We managed to hire a surf board from surfs up company based at Freshwater West. It was definitely worth it and the guys that run it are very friendly . We spent some lovely days on Broadhaven South beach Skrinkle beaches near here. We crabbed at Angle whilst having a drink at the old point house. 36 crabs, so go there if you are into crabbing. Fab week away.

Sue Hannah & Millie

We've spent a magical few days here...Glorious sunshine, beautiful unspoilt beaches, lots of swimming, wave catching and eating and drinking! All topped off today by a stunning beach ride from Nolton Stables. Cantering along the sunlit beach was really an experience to cherish.

Matthew, Alison, Jacob & Abigail

We had a lovely holiday in this comfortable, cosy cottage. It has everything you need and the village is a great base for a weeks holiday, the children loved the trampoline! We enjoyed Blue Lagoon water park twice. Oakwood Theme Park, fishing with Tenby Sea Fishing and Pembroke Castle. Also several trips to local beaches, especially Broadhaven South and Manorbier. We would certainly visit this area again.

A great cottage with everything you need to enjoy surrounding area, the dogs loved the garden which allowed us be able to take our eyes off them as they are secure. Manorbier is a charming village containing lovely friendly people. Tenby only 10 mins away. All the beaches & countryside you could wish for, what's not to like! Thanks again.

Have had a fabulous week - the cottage is really nice and very well stocked. Great having a shop down the road and of course a great pub. The beach is lovely and only a 10 min walk. Our dog Hooch has had a ball - lots of nice beaches allow dogs to run free and go in the sea. Would love to return one day.

Thompson & Cassie

This is our second time at Sunnybank. We really love the cottage for it's great location and fab garden which the pooch particularly likes to explore. Blessed with the weather - almost too hot on a couple of days. Sunnybank is ideally suited for coastal walks and there are some great beaches to head to. Definitely do the walk from the cottage along footpath.

Kitchen very well equipped, patio area is a real sun trap. Beautiful beaches at Barafundle & Broad Haven. Swan Lake Pub serves a good pint (according to my partner!) definitely a real getaway from all location

Laurence & Lynn

Cottage was great for us, just the two of us and Beau the Labrador. Most days spent walking, we managed all the local beaches, but best walks were around Stackpole and Bosherston. All walks well covered in Maps left for guests. We dined at the Castlemead which was very nice, the tea room in the Village serves tremendous food ( we went 2 days running) and the new manager of the pub very welcoming. All in all, a great week of walking, only 2 days of poor weather so we were lucky. We will definitely recommend Sunnybank and local area to friends and family.

Sue Coates

The cottage was just perfect, with so many thoughtful touches. The area is amazing, i've never seen rocks like it! We ate in the Stackpole Inn very nice, Mulberry in Saunsdersfoot recomended, and the swanlake- good. Secluded bays, massive sandy beaches, comfy cottage. Everything was perfect.
