Sweet Retreat is located in the popular village of St Dogmaels, just a short downhill walk from the banks of the river Teifi. A charming semi-detached bungalow, an ideal holiday home for a couple or small family. Set on a quiet residential cul-de-sac, a pathway leads to the rear enclosed lawned garden with a sunny, paved terrace where you can dine alfresco or enjoy the evening sun on the small raised front decking that offers super views over the rooftops to the picturesque river. 3 steps lead up to patio doors at the rear and into the compact open-plan living space, beautifully furnished with practical laminate flooring, a comfortable corner sofa gives space to relax, while meals prepared in the modern well-equipped kitchen area can be enjoyed at the dining room table. This leads into the welcoming double bedroom. With ensuite bathroom leading to a small children’s bunk room for young families.

Perfectly positioned, you are only a short walk from all that St Dogmaels has to offer, including its Abbey ruins, popular farmers markets, shops and galleries as well as waterside pubs only a downhill stroll away. The area teams in bird and wildlife and is perfect for keen walkers and people who just like messing around on the water. The beautiful Poppit Sands beach and the mouth of the estuary is only 2 miles away, this marks the start of the Coastal Path, the best way to explore this magnificent rugged coastline with its hidden coves and rocky cliffs. Climb to Cemaes Head the highest cliffs on the path, the views are breath taking and seal pups can be seen below in the autumn. Take advantage of the Poppit Rocket bus that passes the bottom of the road to catch a lift back after an exhilarating walk. The market town of Cardigan is only a 5 minute drive away with its range of independent shops, pubs and Castle, or spend an evening at Theatre Mwldan. A boat trip from Cardigan around Cardigan Bay should not be missed. This area is designated a heritage coast where many of Britain’s rarest bird and marine life can be regularly seen including bottle nosed dolphins, porpoises and grey seals.

Alternatively, follow the coast further into Pembrokeshire taking in the rugged beauty of Ceibwr Bay and onto Newport, a popular town with a range of facilities set above the wonderful sandy beach at the mouth of the river Nevern.

Sweet Retreat is a super get away, perfect for exploring whatever the season.

The property is approached from the main road, through a private road (beware of potholes). Allocated parking is either alongside the property by parking on the kerb as the driveway is a little steep and will accommodate normal vehicles which do not have a low suspension The front door access to Sweet Retreat is to the side of the property via a garden gate which has a small step up to the enclosed garden and patio area. There are 3 steps leading up to the front door of the property. The front door opens into the kitchen and lounge. Access to the bedrooms and bathroom is via a doorway from the kitchen and directly through leads to a double bedroom which has access to a small bunk room and bathroom. The floor level remains the same level throughout.
