Accessed by a short unmade lane it has been newly renovated, the open plan living space with modern fitted kitchen, breakfast bar, dining area and easy seating all offer magnificent views over the beach and out to sea towards Skomer, sliding doors open to a large, paved patio and small lawn, perfect for an alfresco meal, but care needed with children. A new spacious lounge has been added where you can relax and soak up the stunning views in comfort, this also has sliding doors out to the paved terrace. Enjoy leisurely lie-ins while you watch the sun glisten on the water in the double bedroom with its picture window offering the same wonderful aspect.
The pub, cafe and surf hire shop are a downhill walk. The long, sandy beach is popular with surfers, both experienced and beginners, there is a hire shop for all your requirements - perfect for families. Join the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path and really explore this beautiful coast and its magnificent scenery. The pretty harbour village of Solva with its shops, pubs and restaurants nestling round the tidal inlet is within a short drive, slightly further afield is the tiny city of St Davids with its excellent facilities and famous Cathedral and Bishops Palace. Here you can book an island boat trip to Ramsey Island to see the varied bird and wildlife - and maybe you will spot seals and porpoises.

Dr Beynon's Bug Farm is one of the most unique and exciting attractions that Pembrokeshire has to offer, so much so that it won an award for Most Exciting Business at the 2016 Pembrokeshire Tourism Awards. Also a working farm and Scientific Research Centre, The Bug Farm is now a popular visitor's attraction. With a Tropical Bug Zoo and Bug Museum, a Bug Farm Trail and Walled Garden, and even an indoor play area in their Bug Barn, there is plenty to do and see! They host regular workshops and events as well as offering lectures, tours and bug handling with up-close sessions. The Bug Farm is a Visit Wales Quality Assured Visitor Attraction, having also won Best Start-Up of the Year at the 2016 FSB Worldpay Business Awards and won the 2015 Plantlife International Meadow Maker of the Year for Wales. The Bug Farm is also home to the restaurant everyone is talking about, Grub Kitchen, which serves creative and delicious dishes where the ingredients are local conservation grade produce as well as edible insects - don't worry, there are a number of dishes available for those of you who don't fancy sampling bugs! The Grub Kitchen holds a Visit Wales Quality Cafe Award.
The Grub Kitchen is open from 12pm - 3.30pm during Bug Farm opening hours. On days when they are available, up-close sessions are available on the hour every hour between 11am and 4pm with a surcharge of £1 - please check prior to your visit.
Children must be supervised at all times and well behaved dogs are welcome on leads to the Bug Farm however certain areas are marked not suitable for dogs as it is still a working farm.

A firm favourite with our regular visitors, Picton Castle's Easter Egg Trail for children is a self-guided scamper through fabulous woodlands as they burst into bloom. Collect your leaflet at the Ticket Office and follow the trail – you will find clues along the way! When you have finished, pop into the Gift Shop to collect your prize. It's a great way for the whole family to enjoy the woodlands as masses of Rhododendrons, Azaleas and Magnolias come into flower. While the kids rush around in search of clues, the ‘grown-ups' can enjoy the magnificent colours and scents. Making the most of quality local produce, the Haverfoodfest welcomes everyone to sample the incredible food and drink that our local producers have to offer. With a number of food stalls, as well as demonstrations, competitions and entertainment, the Haverfoodfest is certainly one to be on the list of events to go to this year!
The Preseli Beast is an off-road racing event, still a relatively new event as it is only in its fifth year now. Approximately 24 miles off road, this race takes in a route through wooded valleys, trails and paths taking in scenery across the Gwaun Valley and Newport Bay. Opt for a smaller race with the Beast Bach, an 11 mile off-road race, or rise to the challenge of the Ultrabeast - a 32 mile off-road race! The start and finish are in Maenclochog, with the Ultrabeast kicking off first at 9am.
This Charity Horse and Dog Show is an annual event which occurs in May each year in St. David's. With show jumping, dog shows, stalls and refreshments, this is a great day out for all those interested in horses and dogs!

The annual 'Pirates and Smugglers Walk' takes place in Fishguard on Sunday morning, on the weekend of the town Folk Festival. This is a popular event which has been running for over 10 years. This ultra marathon is approximately 66.6 miles in distance, with approximately 40 miles of the course running along the coastal path with the remainder along the road. In 2016, only 6 people managed to complete and receive their finisher's medal so you can imagine the difficulty level of this challenge! The course runs through coastal locations such as Solva, Porthclais, St Justinians, Whitesands, Abereiddy and Abermawr, guaranteeing a really memorable course. Due to the nature of the course, cut off is at 20 hours with 5 check points and all participants will be required to bring along a full kit of the following items: Head Torch, Space Blanket, Whistle, Mobile Phone, Map (Supplied), Water, Energy Food, Hat, Gloves, Waterproof Clothing, Sun Cream. Entry costs £45 per person.

A festival celebrating everything military at Carew Airfirld at Carew Cheriton control Tower. Pembrokeshire's County Show returns for another year! This annual event brings thousands of people to the Haverfordwest Showground each year. With a variety of crafts and stalls, there is also displays, exhibitions and performances to see! There is a whole host of agricultural machinery on display as well as livestock to see, a fair, and a number of horse and dog shows. Of course there is also plenty of opportunities to meet and greet with local businesses, as well as sampling some great local produce on offer in the food hall!

The West Wales Wool Show in Narberth is a celebration of all things woolly. From beautifully hand crafted items, clothing and footwear to knitting wool, fleece and all the equipment needed to make at home. Demonstrations run throughout the day with stall holders sharing their skills and knowledge with visitors plus wool skill workshops such as felting. The main aim of the show is to support local wool producers and small craft businesses. Wool as a renewable resource is still undervalued and the show aims to bring this wonderful natural resource back into focus. The show is run by the Pembrokeshire Guild of Weavers, Spinners and Dyers with support from PLANED.
Fishguard’s Autumn Festival will be holding a ‘Family fun and Fireworks’ on Goodwick seafront. Pembrokeshire Firespinners will be at the event this year as well as many other fun activities.
Come along to Trewern Arms for Fireworks and to celebrate Bonfire night. Enter into the Best-dressed Guy Fawkes' competition. Enjoy a glass of something warming and a pork roll before the fireworks display later on that evening.
Fishguard once again welcomes you to it's Annual New Year's Eve Street Party! With celebrations, live music and fireworks - it really is a fantastic party to celebrate the coming of the New Year! Refreshments are available on the street and in the surrounding pubs and restaurants. This event is free entry, donations are appreciated as any money given is then put towards next year's celebrations.

Wonderful holiday in this lovely area. Great walking on the coastal path. Recommend Newgale to Solva, Dinas Head, Stumble, Aberiddy, Porthgain. Sloop Inn does good food. The bungalow is lovely and clean, very comfortable and homely - a pleasure to be inside on wet days. We had a great time.
"I must go down to the sea again, to the lonely sea and sky, and all I ask is a tallship, and a star to steer her by". Failing that we'll settle for another week at the Glen. Wonderful weather, beautiful beaches. Great Cottages. Thankyou!
Great bungalow with lovely views, very spacious. Good position to explore this beautiful area of Pembrokeshire, Whitesands bay and the far end of Newgale/Nolton Haven are particulary nice beaches! The local 'Sands' cafe does delicious fish and chips! A brilliant week!
In split of mixed weathers we have thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. An extremely comfortable and well euipped bungalow with fantastic views. We return home with many happy memories.
