About The Willows Dinas Cross

The Willows Dinas Cross offers the most stunning views over the fields to Cardigan Bay and out to sea. This detached bungalow is perfectly positioned on a quiet road in the village of Dinas within walking distance of the picturesque coves of Pwllgwaelod and Cwm Yr Eglwys.

It is comfortably furnished throughout, the front porch makes a lovely spot to sit and watch the world go by, step into the hallway and there are 3 welcoming bedrooms and a well-appointed bathroom with shower cubicle. The large windows in the sitting room really maximize the sea views over the fields to Dinas Head and coastline and makes a cosy retreat on chillier evenings, this leads round to the dining room and modern fitted kitchen, well-equipped it is ideal for preparing family meals. Patio doors from the sitting room open to the enclosed rear garden, a sunny sheltered spot, the lawn gives space for pets and children to play, while its paved terrace means you can dine alfresco on a summer’s evening and revel in the super uninterrupted sea view. The garage makes a useful practical space to store your bikes, and all your walking and beach gear.

Perfectly positioned, spend your days on the beach, both the sheltered coves of Pwllgwaelod and Cwm Yr Eglwys are within walking distance or enjoy an early morning swim to start the day. Keen walkers will enjoy exploring the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path, the circular walk around Dinas Island is sure to become a firm favourite with its stunning views out to sea. The sheltered coves are popular with water sport enthusiasts, so ideal for kayakers, paddle-boarders and sailors, both give easy access for launching and it a great way to explore this beautiful coastline offering a different perspective. Bird and wildlife enthusiasts will be enthralled too.

There are a choice of pubs within walking distance, with one on the beach in Pwllgwaelod and another in Dinas, as well as a well-stocked village shop at the garage, there is even a recommended fish and chip shop in the village.  Alternatively, head to the bustling town of Newport, nestling on the tidal Nevern Estuary, with its range of shops, pubs, restaurants and galleries only a few minutes away or head to its beautiful golden sandy beach. The town has a strong community spirit with many events being held centering round its popular Boat Club and the sea. Keen golfers will enjoy the golf course, the views out to sea from the greens are stunning. To really admire this rugged coastline, head in land and follow the footpaths above Dinas up Carn Ingli, Mountain of Angels, the view is breathtaking and well worth the effort.

There is so much to do and see all within a short drive of this super holiday home, The tiny City of St Davids with its range of facilities, majestic Cathedral and Bishops Palace are well worth a visit. A boat trip to Skomer Island to see the Puffins from Martins Haven or to Ramsey Island from St Justinians are bound to be a highlight, bird and wildlife enthusiasts will be enthused.

Our stay has been wonderful, to arrive to a beautifully presented bungalow, to have lovely weather and to be back in Pembrokeshire, what a joy. The only problem it has gone far far too quickly. September cannot come quick enough to return.

Beautiful walm bungalow. Wonderful view of Dinas Island especially with early morning sun and yes, we saw lots of birds including an egret(Newport) and water rail on marshes by Dinas Island. Beautiful walking everywhere!
