About Two Hoots

Two Hoots is a charming stone barn conversion, set down a quiet ‘access only’ lane in the village of Hodgeston, just over a mile from a choice of pubs and the beautiful, sandy, Freshwater East beach.

Set back from the lane, there is plenty of enclosed parking to the front of the cottage which is prettily planted with colourful flowers and shrubs.

Comfortably furnished to a high standard in a modern style, it has practical tiled floors throughout the ground floor. The hallway leads through to a spacious open-plan living space with welcoming sitting room and modern fitted kitchen/diner where you can enjoy family meals. French doors lead out to the rear, enclosed, walled garden with small lawn and paved patio where you can dine alfresco on a summer’s evening. There is a double bedroom on the ground floor with ensuite shower room, while stairs lead up to a further two spacious bedrooms on the first floor with a compact bathroom with corner bath and overhead shower.

Conveniently situated, it is perfect for exploring all that this area of South Pembrokeshire has to offer, being located between the historical medieval town of Pembroke with its majestic Castle and mill pond and the bustling seaside walled town of Tenby with its glorious sandy beaches and picturesque harbour. A walk of a mile down country lanes and footpaths will take you to the nearest beach at Freshwater East, there are 2 pubs offering sea views, both serving food. Join the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path here to be inspired by walking this breathtaking coastline, you can always catch the bus back, check which one it is you prefer.

In the nearby village of Lamphey there is a well-stocked village shop, garage, pub, choice of restaurants, as well as a spa for you to try or Jameston has a further 2 village pubs with good reputations. The village of Manorbier with its medieval Castle looking out to sea is well worth a visit, spend your day on the beautiful beach, popular with surfers and families, you can enjoy refreshments in the popular cafe and pub in this pretty village.

There are a host of family attractions all within a short drive including Folly Farm, Manor House Wildlife Park, Heatherton World of Activities and Oakwood Theme Park. Some of Pembrokeshire’s finest beaches are within easy reach including to the east, Barafundle Bay, Broadhaven South and the Lily Ponds, Freshwater West and West Angle Bay while to the west lie Lydstep, Tenby South beach, Saundersfoot and Amroth.

This is an ideal holiday home, perfect for families or couples to get away whatever the season.
