About Ty Gwyn Farmhouse

Ty Gwyn Farmhouse is a wonderful whitewashed period stone house, with stunning sea views. It is set just above Whitesands Beach which is only a short walk from your doorstep. Deceptively spacious, this comfortable holiday home is perfect for either 2 families or mixed generations to get together with 2 staircases leading to the bedrooms above. Furnished in a traditional and inviting style with fresh white walls and blues reflecting the nearby sea, there is a sea view from nearly every room, it retains original features with beams and tiled floors. Step into the warm and welcoming dining room with its Rayburn and large table, it is perfect for enjoying family meals together. Off this lies the well-equipped galley-style fitted kitchen. There is a useful utility area with shower room ideal for washing away the salt after a day on the beach. In the evenings, gather in the comfortable sitting room with practical slate floor and wood burning stove for chillier days. This leads through to a ground floor double bedroom with a door opening to the garden and the most wonderful sea views, stairs lead up to a twin bedroom and bathroom above. From the entrance hall the main stairs lead to 3 single bedrooms and a master bedroom with super king bed, all with sea views. There is also a bathroom and separate wc.

An enclosed front lawned garden is a super spot to dine alfresco or just enjoy a cup of tea while you soak up the stunning panoramic views over Whitesands Beach to Ramsey Island and the bay beyond. There are several other spots to relax all with sea views including another enclosed, lawned area good for children to play in and a sheltered picnic bench aligned to make the most of the setting sun over the water.

A short 5 minute downhill walk takes you to the famous Whitesands Beach, spend your days here, ideal for children, as well as water sport enthusiasts, it is a surfers paradise for both professionals and beginners alike. There is a seasonal beach side café where you can enjoy refreshments or head to the tiny City of St Davids to sample its range of pubs, shops, art galleries, cafes and restaurants, not forgetting its majestic Cathedral and Bishops Palace.

Take to the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path on your doorstep to explore this rugged coastline on foot, there are a host of wonderful beaches to explore, head east via Caerfai and onto Solva and Newgale or north to the black sands of Abereiddy and the Blue Lagoon and the fishing villages of Portgain and Trefin.

If you can tear yourself away from the beaches head up Carn Llidi rising behind Ty Gwyn, the views are well worth the effort and the sunsets to die for.

There really is something for everyone, golfers will enjoy the nearby course with its stunning view from every green or take a boat trip from St Justinians to explore round the Island of Ramsey, a visit to this nature reserve is highly recommended, the bird and wildlife will not disappoint. A highlight has to be the seal pups in September, stop and listen to their eerie cries.

Ty Gwyn Farmhouse is the most wonderful holiday home which you are sure to want to return to year after year and guaranteed to give everlasting memories to cherish.
