Williamston Farmhouse is a semi-detached, traditional, Pembrokeshire farmhouse dating back to the 14th Century, located next door to the owner and well away from any farming activity.
It has been carefully renovated to retain its character and charm, using traditional techniques with lime wash and recycled slate; beams, slate floors and an Inglenook are complimented by the comfortable mix of modern and antique furnishings while water recycling help to make this cottage eco-friendly.
The lounge/diner with cosy wood burning stove has stairs leading to the rooms above, while the kitchen has a charm of its own, with granite worktop and all mod-cons. There is a large rear, enclosed, lawned garden with patio, perfect to enjoy an alfresco meal on a summer’s evening and giving space for children and dogs to play, while the lounge at the front opens onto a pretty courtyard shared with the owner and The Dovecote.
Wander the shared grounds with a super woodland and pond side walk, this natural wild area has been lovingly planted with rare trees and plants by the owner and her family over the years. A peaceful spot to get back to nature. Bird and wildlife lovers will be delighted with many regular sightings of woodpeckers, finches, wagtails, herons, moorhens, mallards, badgers and foxes and much more. Alternatively, enjoy feeding the birds in the front courtyard and watch them arrive from the comfort of the cottage.
Williamston is located on a quiet rural lane, only one and a half miles from the beautiful sandy beach at Broad Haven, children will love spending their days building sand castles, swimming in the sea and investigating rock pools. There is a water sports hire shop here as well as excellent village shop, local pub serving good food, restaurant and cafes. A public footpath leading to Haroldston woods and the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path starts outside the cottage. This really is the best way to explore this stunning coastline, take advantage of the Puffin Shuttle for the return journey.
Over the headland lies Little Haven, a sheltered sandy inlet popular with water sports enthusiasts and families alike. There are a range of facilities clustered round the shoreline. There are a wealth of beaches and interesting places to visit all within a short drive including Newgale, Solva and St Davids, while the Dale peninsula is nearby, marvel at Dale, Marloes, Musslewick Sands and of course Martins Haven the embarkation point for Skomer Island to visit the puffins.

Absolutely fabulous Farmhouse, Fantastic location, Wonderful Owner, if you are looking for a perfect peaceful holiday look no further.
Very cute cottage in a very cute place, had a lovely time! :) - fab ice cream!! Thank you for allowing us the pleasure of the cottage! We wanted for nothing. Beautiful beach in Broad Haven. Look forward to coming back – jealous of those coming next week, enjoy! X
We’ve had a wonderful week, thank you very much. We’ve spent days on the beach, walking along the coastal path, visiting St Davids and exploring Colby Woodland Gardens. We hope to return next year!
Fantastic 2 week stay – thoroughly enjoyed the beach at Broad Haven – great for the dog! Also visited Marloes Sands – very beautiful. Didn’t eat out in the evenings – enjoyed cooking in the proper ‘cook’s kitchen’. I’m sure we will be back in the future. Many thanks
Thank you so much for your friendly, helpful hospitality. Your cottage was warm, spacious, well-equipped. We had everything we needed. Happy New Year x
This is our ninth visit to Williamston and we have enjoyed our stay just as much as the first nearly a decade ago. This little corner of Pembrokeshire is as charming as it ever was and the cottage is like a home from home. We will be back again next year.
What beautiful place to stay in Pembrokeshire – a charming cottage, so practical and well-equipped, peaceful and pretty. Thanks Alison for being so friendly and helpful. It all felt very much home-from-home in every way. A brilliant place to stay for the dogs – the freedom and the safety of the garden was brilliant! Sad to leave, but hope to be back. Many thanks
An all too brief stay in this lovely house – so carefully considered and full of love. Thank you, Ali – we have had a wonderful few days! We would love to return with more of our family.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Farmhouse – and felt relaxed there. Wonderful coastal path walks, boat trip around Ramsey Island etc. Good food at local pubs – particularly Swan Inn, Little Haven. Just the sort of accommodation and location we were looking for.
A lovely home to spend such a splendid week weather wise, ideally located between the north and the south of the county ; we can never decide which we love best, each has its own magnificence, with the haven in the centre. A great dog friendly beach which our little girl adored daily. We so enjoyed cooking in the well equipped kitchen! We echo all that's been said about cleanliness, good beds etc and all the little touches of games, cards and we didn't expect the internet connection. Thank you for a lovely holiday!!
Having spent February 2013 here, we wanted to come back. What better way to spend my 40th Birthday. Only had 1 day that was a bit wet, other than that glorious sunshine makes the beaches look better (it that's possible). Found Marloes beach which we had the whole beach to ourselves, dogs loved it! Went to Broad Haven and had lunch at Little Haven for Birthday treat (lovely). Elderly parents joined us for a few days and struggled with cliffs so took them to Newgale, very flat and easy to walk on when tide out. Amazing rock pools and mum was nicknamed 'Dora The Explorer!' Again totally well equipped cottage didn't need or want anything, was hoping to light the fire but too hot! Will be back xx
We have thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this lovely cottage- so warm and welcoming and very comfortable. Tic, Our dog, had her first time at the seaside and had a great time on several beaches and chasing seagulls.. We recommend the St Brides Inn as Little Haven for food and it's dog friendly!
A beautiful cottage well equipped with everything you could used. The dogs loved the garden that was well fenced off, the beaches are great. They loved the rock pools and the sea, would like to take the cooker home it was great to cook on, Thank you very much for a very enjoyable week, will be back in the future!
Lovely, well equipped cottage. Wish it had been cold enough to use the log fire. Ralph being a Neyland boy was able to show us all the wonderful places he grew up and spent his youth. The beaches are beautiful!! loved the walk around Bosherston Lilyponds. Luckily the weather has been kind to us, mostly raining at night. Very homely! Dogs settled in well, it was good to share the experience with my folks and to see and spend time with my husbands family. I know its sad but got to say I loved the big kitchen and the range, was a pleasure to cook in. Happy times!!!
Thank you for providing such a lovely, well appointed cottage. We got to play board games by fire light. Its a brilliant location, with Broad Haven a mile away. Things to definitely see/places to go : Marloes Sands, Newgale, Whitesands, Little Haven and Solva Harbour has great food! The Bishops in St David's had fantastic fish and chips!! Thank you again, we had such a lovely time!
Thank you for letting us use your lovely Farmhouse Cottage. The property is quaint and very well equipped and comfortable. We have had a lovely relaxing break! The fire has been a feature in the evening.. It has been our lovely Staffordshire Bull Terrier pups first holiday, he is 8 months old and has been great. Looking forward to returning again.
We have had a lovely relaxing holiday and have really enjoyed the coastal walks and beaches. Newgale was a particularly favourite beach of ours. The cottage was very cosy and the log fire was the icing on the cake! There was everything that we needed for a self catering break and eating in was a real pleasure. Thankyou Alison and Gerald (owners) for a lovely break... Chris(age 10): I particularly loved this break and the beaches and while we were here i caught some shrimp. Thanks!
We would highly recommend this superb cottage to anyone - providing they dont want to come at the same time when we wish to return, as we definatly will! Splendid beaches for our dog and our son really enjoyed Oakwood, the theme park and we all had a brilliant boat trip round Ramsey Island seeing seals and porpoises and many different sea birds. We've all had a memorable week.
This is by far one of the cleanest, well maintained & welcoming cottage we have ever stayed in. The local walks are the perfect length & very interesting for the dogs. Beaches were lovely and very dog friendly in October. St Brides is a lovely place to visit & has a nice coastal path rounds the cliffs. We were very fortunate with the weather so we took the dogs to the beach daily. I must add that the appliances used in Williamston Cottage are very impressive and kept in great condition! Thanks again for a fantastic week, you have been more than helpful and welcoming!
This lovely cottage is like "home from home" to us. We had a great break. The weather has been very good, so there was nothing else to wish for. Thanks for your hospitality. oh and i almost forgot to mention the cleanlyness, marvellous!
Thanks so much for a lovely relaxing stay, so welcoming. Also Bobby the dog is very friendly & loved playing with our two dogs. And yes the fire is great of an evening. Many thanks!
It has been so nice to come to Pembrokeshire and made all the better for having been able to stay in this lovely cottage. We have holidayed in cottages for many years in many parts of the UK and this has been one of the best equipped and comfortable we have stayed. Thankyou for being so very welcoming and helpful. Thanks also for all the firewood!
I dont get to go on many holidays but this is one of the best that ive been on. The cottage is lovely and the kitchen is marvalous. The location isn't that bad either! The Pembroke Castle is definatly something to go see!
We have loved staying in your beautiful farmhouse. Thankyou for all your help and advice - much appreciated. We loved sharing Pembrokeshire/Sutton memories with you both.
Very enjoyable holiday and relaxing place to stay. Lovley cottage would recommend it to friends.
Thankyou for your kindness and help. The cottage was lovely and comfortable also the thoughtful details. The location was lovely and your walks you gave us were helpful. Thankyou!
Thank you for letting us stay in your lovely cottage. Its probably the cleanst and best furnished holiday cottage we have stayed in - and so comfortable too!
Holiday home very nice and comfortable. Peaceful & tranquil an ideal setting and a lovely break from the 'rat race'. Many thanks for your hard work and hospitality.
A truly wonderful stay, many thanks PS great fishing at Solva!
27 years since i first came to stay in the farmhouse - and just as lovely and welcoming now as it was then! we have had a wonderful time!
We have been fortunate to have good weather and with two dogs to exercise have found plenty of walks directly from here. We have stayed in the area before and love the coastal path from St Brides, the walk round St Anns Head is a must, and when the tide is out the walk from Broad Haven to Little Haven is brilliant. Three pubs in Little Haven provide good meals!! We live in a very rual position and yet we have to come here to hear our first cuckoo of 2009! We have found the cottage to be very comfortable and help offered when needed. We do hope that all the guests following us have a wonderful holiday here.
