Our History
Explore our 40 year heritage
The beginning
It all started here. In the tiny, remote, seaside village of Abercastle in Pembrokeshire. Whilst the nation was awash with bad perms, E.T was desperately trying to phone home and Michael Jacksons Thriller was tearing through the charts - something special found its beginning.
First Brochure Published
A smaller version of what we've come to know in recent years, our first brochure offered a collection of only 34 holiday homes across Pembrokeshire.
Roy Hopson, a local artist from Fishguard, kindly provided line drawings for the early brochures (pre-photograph times!) before Elizabeth Haines become our main artist.
Club Membership
Guests booking a holiday automatically became a member of our Coastal Cottages Club allowing them to take advantage of discounts and more at many Pembrokeshire attractions, activity centres and restaurants.
100+ Cottage Collection
In just 4 years, our cottage collection had grown to over 100 fantastic holiday homes available to rent.
AA Welsh Holiday Cottage of the Year
E299 in Fishguard.
Enterprise Neptune
Joint promotion with National Trust. CCP donated 5% of bookings by National Trust members to Enterprise Neptune to help preserve the landscape.
RSPB Promotion
In the centenary year of the RSPB, we donated 5% of all bookings to the special fund set up to help care for the local gannet population.
Cottage Grading System Introduced
Using a mixture of Wales Tourist Board & Coastal Cottage grading, all properties for let were given a grade between 1 and 5.
Holiday 90
We featured in the BBC programme, Holiday 90.
270 Cottage Collection
In less than ten years, we had significantly grown our collection to 270 holiday cottages.
Our Second Home
Moved to Carreg Samson.

A Royal Welcome

We launched our Concierge service, a team dedicated to helping our guests plan activity itineraries, schedule things to do and recommending places to eat.
Coastal Life Magazine Published
In 2021, we said goodbye to our traditional brochure and welcomed in a new-look magazine.
