Norchard, Tenby
Norchard is most definitely one of the properties which should be at the top of your list when planning a golfing break in Wales. It is set in the beautiful woodland setting at Trefloyne Golf Course and Country Club on the outskirts of Tenby. The course here was designed in 1996 and consists of 18 holes, there are day rates and memberships available.
With 3 bedrooms, this property sleeps 7 people and its immaculately clean, comfortable interiors create a perfect base for your Pembrokeshire adventures. Framed with timber, this five-star holiday home overlooks the stunning woodland surroundings and even has an impressive floor-to-ceiling gable window with a balcony – a fantastic spot to relax with a glass of wine in the evening.
Norchard really is ideal for the entire family. With an onsite restaurant and a spa at Trefloyne too, you can send some of the party off to pamper whilst others make their way to the green before all congregating for a family lunch or evening meal. And if you want to explore Pembrokeshire outside of your Trefloyne haven, the popular seaside town of Tenby is just minutes away with a wide selection of beaches, shops, restaurants and activities. Spend the day at Heatherton Adventure Park or take a trip to Caldey from Tenby Harbour.
James Braid Suite, Newport

Sleeping 3 in 2 bedrooms, James Braid Suite is a contemporary ground-floor apartment set on the grounds of Newport Sands Golf Course along the North Pembrokeshire Coast. Simply open the patio doors from the kitchen, and you’ll step out onto the green.
Not only will you be met with peaceful views over the golf course, but at James Braid Suite you can even take in beautiful sea views over Newport Bay. Take advantage of the location and take a walk along the Coastal Path out towards Dinas Head or Cardigan where dolphins are frequently spotted, or venture into the market town of Newport for farmers markets, quaint independent stores and unique places to eat.
As for the golf course, you’ll be spoilt during your stay. The first 9 holes of the course were designed in 1925 by professional golfer James Braid, after whom this classic holiday property is named. In 2008, a further 9 holes were added making the course up to a full 18. As well as the course, Newport Sands also boasts a putting practice green, a 180-yard targeting range and a pro golf shop.
Woodview, near Haverfordwest
Located off the beaten track on the outskirts of Haverfordwest, Woodview is set in a peaceful woodland location near popular attractions including Picton Castle and Slebech Park. If you’re a wildlife lover, this property is perfect for you with a garden of wildflowers, trees and flowering shrubs. The pretty surroundings welcome a wealth of nature including woodpeckers, nuthatches, jays and pheasants – you can also spot a chicken or two in the owner’s garden.
Sleeping just two and accepting 2 pets, Woodview makes a great choice for a romantic getaway with your sweetheart no matter the season. Open up the French doors and make use of the paved terrace on summer days, or cosy up inside and take advantage of the underfloor heating during the winter months. You can even taste the delights of local honey courtesy of a complimentary jar from the owners who have beehives on their grounds.
Alongside the vast number of woodland walks nearby, you’ll be pleased to know Woodview is set just a short drive from Haverfordwest Golf Club. Visitors and members are welcome alike, including members of the Play More Golf scheme which allows you to play as a member at a number of courses across the UK. Pop into the Pro Golf Shop and say hi to the pro, Sam, who will be able to book you in for tuition or help you out with equipment hire, or take a seat in The Ash Tree Restaurant onsite in the clubhouse for delicious meals from chef Darren. Plumstone View Cottage, near Mathry
If you’re on the search for a stunning modern holiday home for your getaway in Pembrokeshire, Plumstone View is the one for you. Positioned down an unmade lane, this property is a fantastic option for a family holiday with an inviting wood burner and floor-to-ceiling glass offering breathtaking views. You can even take along up to two of your four-legged friends and let them out to play in the large garden.
The rural location lends itself to a delightful countryside holiday. Mathry village is nearby with its welcoming traditional pub, The Farmers Arms, serving home-cooked meals throughout the week and a quaint tea shop/antique store, Siop Fach – afternoon teas are highly recommended. Within a short drive, you can explore St Davids, the Blue Lagoon at Abereiddy and picturesque coves including Porthgain and Abercastle.
As for local golf, you’ll want to head to Priskilly Forest Golf Club. With 18 holes, Priskilly boasts beautiful views over the Preseli Hills and Strumble Head. Book a lesson, visit the Pro Golf Shop and drop into the bar for something refreshing once you’ve made your way around the course. You can even hire equipment here.
