Square and Compass is a little village situated between the bustling harbour town of Fishguard and the tiny City of St Davids. Just a short drive to many of Pembrokeshire's beautiful beaches it is an ideal location. The village also has a pub restaurant called the Square and Compass Inn, known for its great food, along with a well-stocked garage shop.
There are many criss-crossing footpaths that lead across the fields to the wonderful Pembrokeshire Coastal Path and on to the beautiful bays of Abercastle and Aberfelin. Abercastle is just 2 miles away and if you time it right you can buy fresh fish for your supper, as the fishermen return to this picturesque harbour.
In addition to these, there are many other sandy beaches, coves and picturesque harbours, all set within a 5 mile radius of Square and Compass, that are well worth exploring. Abereiddy, with it’s famous Blue Lagoon and ‘black’ sand, Newgale, a popular choice amongst surfers and water sports enthusiasts, Porthgain, Traethllyn and Whitesands to name just a few.
