Self-catering holidays in Trefin
Set within walking distance of the Pembrokeshire Coast Path, Trefin’s facilities include a craft shop and café, as well as a friendly pub-restaurant which has a children’s room and garden. This charming and picturesque village’s amazing location allows those staying in our Trefin holiday cottages to experience the best of what both the coast and countryside has to offer and, in case you’re travelling without a vehicle, there is a good bus service that will take you to the livelier centres of Fishguard and St Davids in minutes.
The attractive inlet of Abercastle is five minutes away from Trefin by car and other nearby attractions include the Melin Tregwynt woollen mill, the popular and historic harbour of Porthgain, and Strumble Head, with its bird observatory and lighthouse. The scenic Gwaun Valley and the tiny cathedral city of St Davids - with its wealth of shops, galleries, pubs and restaurants - are also within easy reach.
Back in Trefin itself, peaceful flower-filled lanes and trackways will lead you out of the village, onto the coast path and down to the beautiful Aberfelin, where the sand and shingle beach and natural stone arch are frequent haunts for seals. And, with Abercastle and Abermawr to the north and Abereiddy to the south, there are plenty of other coves and beaches waiting to be explored once you arrive at one of our holiday cottages in Trefin.
