This attractive little bay is totally undeveloped, in an area perfect for those seeking a quiet holiday near amenities but away from popular sandy beaches and busy centres. The nearby village of Moylegrove is within walking distance, whilst Cardigan and Newport are the two main town centres nearby.
Ceibwr Bay is the haunt of shy seabirds and Grey Atlantic seals, making it a great choice for those hoping to spot some wildlife. It is the cliff walking here which is the main attraction, as it is high, craggy and awesomely beautiful whatever the weather or season. The cliffs show evidence of impressive forces at work circa 400 million years ago when Ceibwr was created - admire the elegant folds and scrolls in the rock face. The ruins of a fine Celtic fortress can be found on the northern cliff edge. The more romantic can envisage the smugglers taking advantage of such a remote spot along with the ideal locality of the cave on the beach.
Experienced kayakers might wish to stay in this area, and explore The Witches Cauldron nearby. Set just down the coastline, The Witches Cauldron is a collapsed cave with intricate tunnels and stunning green waters on sunny days, access is denied during the autumn though as it's a hotspot for seal pups.
There is a car park with toilets in Moylegrove and roadside parking closer to the cove with space for approx 20-25 vehicles.
