Undeniably one of Pembrokeshire's hidden beaches, Porthmynawyd Beach is a small cove located on the West coast of Pembrokeshire between Solva and Penycwym (near Newgale). Accessible only via the Coastal Path, you are able to park at Pointz Castle Ice Cream and take the twenty minute walk through the fields to meet the path and the beach. Alternatively, you could plan to make a pit stop here on a Coastal Path walk between Newgale and Solva.
Due it's location, Porthmynawyd Beach is often less busy than the nearby beach of Newgale. Facilities are limited as you might expect, but refreshments are available (and highly recommended!) at Pointz Castle Ice Cream which offers a selection of homemade ice creams, cafes and drinks.
