Self-catering holidays in Fishguard

Our holiday cottages in Fishguard will give you great access to the many local events that appeal to large audiences from all over the world, including some excellent concerts and workshops. The Fishguard Bay and Lower Town areas recently marked the bicentenary of the last invasion of Britain and both have also been used as sets for several major films, including Under Milk Wood and Moby Dick.

Lower Town is a very active part of Fishguard and is always popular with kayakers and sailors. A mile inland and separated from the coast by Dinas Mountain, meanwhile, lies the Gwaun Valley, an area renowned for its unspoiled natural beauty; the whole area is a paradise for walkers. The sea skirts three sides of Fishguard, dividing it into small harbours and beaches, so regattas and sailing races are weekly events during the summer months and there are usually classes available for enthusiastic amateurs of all ages.

This tranquil location offers a range of amenities, including shops, restaurants, pubs and the famous Pembrokeshire Coast Path, all of which are within walking distance of our Fishguard holiday cottages. A short drive will take you to many of North Pembrokeshire's best sandy beaches and a little further afield again you will find the tiny city of St Davids, with its famous cathedral – an amazingly picturesque place that is certainly worth visiting!
