Nature has given this special destination a spectacular landscape – azure seas, golden sands and the towering Carn Ingli (also known as ‘Angel Mountain’) summit are all within easy reach of our holiday cottages in Newport, Pembrokeshire.
At 1,100-feet, Carn Ingli offers wonderful views across the golden expanse of Newport Sands as it rises grandly behind the town. Newport's cottages, shops, craft galleries, church and castle are all overlooked by the mountain’s imposing peaks, which infuses the area with a majestic, wholly unique character.
Plenty of activities can be enjoyed out and about nearby, from walking the spectacular Pembrokeshire Coast Path to horse riding and from sailing to playing 18 holes at the excellent Newport Links Golf Club. The community spirit is strong here too, with events tending to be centred around the sea, the town’s history and the changing seasons.
When staying at our Newport, Pembrokeshire holiday cottages, you will find that the wealth of locally grown, farmed and caught produce supplies the variety of restaurants and pubs in and around Newport with a large proportion of their food and drink. The Golden Lion is worth a special mention for making the most of the local fare available - with Welsh beef and freshly caught seafood on their doorstep, you'll always be impressed by what this pub serves up.
