St Florence is a charming village that was previously a winner of the prestigious Wales in Bloom award. This idyllic, rural destination is laced with pretty cottages, one of which features a Flemish chimney - the last of its kind in the county. Set in the pleasant valley of the Ritec river, our St Florence holiday cottages will allow you to enjoy what will surely be your most relaxing getaway yet.
The village gets its name from St Florent, to whom the local church is dedicated, and is home to no less than six listed buildings, as well as several peculiar, medieval, stone-vaulted yeoman’s houses. Located under four miles from the famous seaside town of Tenby, and the popular villages of Saundersfoot and Manorbier, St Florence is a perfect base from which to experience many different areas and activities.
The village is home to the brilliant Manor Wildlife Park, which holds conservation close to its heart, and the animal attraction is a favourite with locals and tourists alike. Visitors can look forward to learning about creatures from all over around the world and having the chance to watch a diverse range of mainly endangered species feed, play and wander in their large and natural surroundings.
Whilst exploring the area from one of our holiday cottages in St Florence, with its well-stocked shop, two pubs - the Parsonage Farm Inn and the Sun Inn (the latter of which has a takeaway menu) - and fabulous footpaths, be sure to look out for the remains of an old walled deer park that was once owned by the Earl of Pembroke.
