This October, the popular ghost story of The Woman In Black comes to the Torch Theatre in a great spine-chilling stage play. Arthur Kipps is invited to tell a ghost story and so recalls his past experiences encountering the "woman in black". According to the legends, she haunts Eel Marsh House and every time she is seen, a child dies. What will be the outcome of the ghost story?The play is recommended for those aged 14 and over. The Barafundle Bay Triathlon

Get set for the very first Barafundle Bay Triathlon. An adrenaline-fuelled day of sporting activity. It’s time to run, make a splash and get muddy with participants taking on a trail run, a woodland obstacle course and a splash along the water's edge. Choose from 3 or 5 miles and 1.5 miles run for kids – covers coast and countryside terrain, with the obstacle course offering a muddy challenge. Then it’s off to Barafundle Bay for a quick splash before the route concludes with a final run across the headland back to Stackpole Quay. The Triathlon is open to all ages and abilities, take part as a family, group or individual… just have fun .It’s £15 per adult, £10 per child and £40 for family entry (2 adults, 2 children). West Wales Wool Show

The West Wales Wool Show in Narberth is a celebration of all things woolly. From beautifully hand crafted items, clothing and footwear to knitting wool, fleece and all the equipment needed to make at home. Demonstrations run throughout the day with stall holders sharing their skills and knowledge with visitors plus wool skill workshops such as felting. The main aim of the show is to support local wool producers and small craft businesses. Wool as a renewable resource is still undervalued and the show aims to bring this wonderful natural resource back into focus. The show is run by the Pembrokeshire Guild of Weavers, Spinners and Dyers with support from PLANED. The 2016 show will be kindly sponsored by Emily’s Funky Knits in conjunction with Amroth Bay Holidays and by Esgair Fibres.

A Journey of World Music

200 voices unite at St Davids Cathedral for A Journey of World Music on Saturday 15th October. This concerts stars the Hywel Girls' Choir and Hywel Boy Singers, the Llanelli Choral Society, the Haverfordwest Male Voice Choir and the Angelicus Chorale. Music will include songs such as Ave Maria, the Hallelujah Choras, Nessun Dorma, Aida's Grand March and Phantom of the Opera. The concert begins at 7.30pm and booking in advance is recommended. Apple Day

Held in St Brides Orchard next to St Brides Bay and the ancient church of St Bridget, St Brides. A fantastic event and opportunity to glimpse inside the courtyard of the original Kensington Castle (dating circa 1500's), to see apple pressing using the orchard's apples and ancient craft skills such as basket/willow weaving and wood carving. Teas, coffees, cakes and jars of homemade jams and chutneys for purchase in our 'Apple Cafe' with all money raised in support of St Brides and Marloes churches. Entry to the Apple Day event is free - a wonderful day out, even if its raining.

Pembrokeshire Sea Kayaking Festival

Halloween Ghostly Tales

Pembroke Castle's Ghost Finder General, Howard, will take you on a ghoulish ghost tour around the Castle, as he tells you a selection of our ghost sightings and  happenings from 900 year history of sudden death and disaster. Please note: The tour will last about an hour and a half, and is for ages 7 and up, they do ask that the children stay close to their parents and grandparents at all times, as adults tend to scare easily! Tickets are £5 each and are available from the castle shop or can be booked online. Halloween costumes are encouraged, but please wear warm outdoor clothing and suitable footwear - our tower's staircases are a chilling place at night! A torch is essential as you can only see ghosts with the help of light!
