Mathry is a friendly and picturesque village with outstanding views of both the Pembrokeshire coast and the Preseli Mountains and is a popular location with beach-lovers, wildlife watchers, photography enthusiasts, water sports fans and visitors looking for scenic beauty with additional tranquillity.
There is an unusual church, friendly pub and village green from which high-hedged lanes splay out towards the bays of Abercastle and Abermawr. An excellent centre from which to explore the north coast. Some of the best ways of seeing it is on a bike or on horse-back.
Mathry’s copious acres of surrounding farmland are wonderfully criss-crossed with pretty pathways, and wildlife filled lanes. These make for attractive cycling and walking routes. The spectacular Pembrokeshire Coastal Path is sat just over a mile or so away and offers views to die for, the chance to explore hidden coves and beaches and even sightings of wonderful marine life.
Conveniently located between the tiny City of St Davids, and the harbour town of Fishguard, Mathry offers a beautiful and peaceful setting for a wonderful holiday.
A country pub nestled in the village of Mathry, near to Abercastle and Croesgoch. This pub serves food daily, and offers a range of classic pub meals. The Farmers Arms also hosted the occasional live music night, karaoke nights, and special events.
